My son is 10 months old and he lives with me (I have full custody of him). Three months ago, paternity was established and we found out that my boyfriend, whom I've been with since I got pregnant and who has been providing support for my son, is not my son's biological Father. My son's biological Father has, still, not seen him or provided support for him, although he was ordered to. My boyfriend wants to get Legal Guardianship of my son. How would he go about doing that?

A friend of mine had been charged with !st degree reckless homicide by supplying methadone to his girlfriend's sister-in-law. He said that he gave her the pills to sell only and made her promise not to take them. He took one and overdosed and survived, then two days later she took them and overdosed and died. Her husband ratted him out to the cops and he was arrested. Her husband stated that she was trying to get off of drugs but at the time that she took these pills she had other drugs in her system. Do you think he should be convicted and sent to prison for 40 years? Or do you think that he should spend time in the county jail? How harsh of a punishment would you give him?

Some may say its either unethical or racist, but with everything going on do you think it is necessary to profile those that look like they are from Middle Eastern descent to maintain some sense of safety?

Personally I think this is a great idea! During World War II the Japanese became a threat, so we set up Internment Camps (note: i completely disagree with FDR's decision on that), but it kept people with a sense of security. Today people of Islamic descent are the ones sacrificing their lives in order to kill others - on planes, on buses, and anywhere else you can think of. It is a dangerous world and throughout the last few years, terroist plots, plans, and successes have been from those of Islamic descent.

Please, please, please do not call me a racist, because I am not. There are many people who look Middle Eastern (for crying out loud even Israelis look Muslim!!!)

I just personally think that its time to put our foot down, screw being politically correct, and save lives

Cops came & made our home look like a major crime scene. No arrests were made. No charges filed. People asked did some die? The outcome our home was condemned. no notice, no warning, no letters to have things fixed. Jul 24 2006. We were told that we could not enter our home even to get our personal belongings out. Father passed away house awarded to the 6 children. House is prime property. 1 of 2 homes left on Main street. Yes the house is an eyesore. Yes it does need some tender loving care. But the electric is up to code. The roof was just redone 2 yrs ago. Yes it still has clay pipes for water but it still works. It needs a few new windows could use some weatherizing around doors & windows. The lawn is nice & mowed no weeds or high grass. Could use a coat of paint on the outside. Some minor repairs. I feel as though renters have more rights then a homeowner. The newspaper did not have a word about what looked like some one got Murdered. Small town BIG NEWS...Not a word! Help!!!!

Think about it. You would not only have to go through the trauma of recovering from rape, but you would also have to try and keep your sanity as you suffered through pregnancy, knowing that each pain and each mood swing and each new feeling was caused by the man who raped you.

Could you honestly say you would have that child?

If so, could you damn another person to have a child concieved through rape?

Please think before answering. I've heard enough arguments of why the sanctity of life should be maintained, but I'm asking, on a very real level, if you would personally, in reality, go through with having a kid like this?

If you have initiated and conducted a three year ruinous war by telling the American people that a nation had Weapons of Mass Destruction, and if you are trying to pull America into another war because of a claim that a nation -- Iran -- might develop Weapons of Mass Destruction, isn't it treason to intentionally render useless a CIA operative who specializes in tracking the illegal sales and transfer of Weapons of Mass Destruction?

We live in Ohio. Since January (IT'S AUGUST NOW!!!!) we have been fighting head lice... it has been Dr. proven that she is clean when she leaves my house and is infested when she gets back from the weekend so I know the bugs aren't at my house! She is tired of the treatments and combing and cleaning and just doesn't want to go through it anymore; school is getting ready to start and she doesn't want to miss school. It isn't that she doesn't want to see her dad or step mom, she's just tired of the bugs. They don't have a problem with the bugs (I guess they're used to them?!)

Can a 10 year old make the choice to stop going or do I have to make her go? Do I need to get a lawyer to adjust the visation order to have it be leagal or can we just let them know that she doesn't want to go?

He does pay his child support ($42/month!!!) but has never provided the court ordered health insurance for her. We have been divorced since she was 1.

This question has unsettled me for several years. My grandmother passed away after suffering from Alzheimer's. There was lots of family drama during her illness. My aunts (literally evil twins) took and sold all her furniture, took credit cards out in her name, tried to submit forged prescriptions, etc. All of that has passed, and we've moved on. However, my sisters and I are still wondering why, on our grandmother's death certificate, it states cervical cancer as the cause of death. My grandmother had a hysterectomy at age 37. (Not known if her cervix even existed at time of death) We suspect that with our 2 aunt's access to the medical field, (former nurses, both of them, busted for theft), if they somehow benefited medication wise by, somewhere along the lin,e stating she had cancer. Advice?

I live in West Haven Connecticut, a suburb of New Haven, Connecticut just since April two innocent children (they were both 13) have been shot and killed for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. When the Constitution was written the American public was still being attacked by Indians and wild animals were just a field away. Guns were needed then, but now I feel like only the animals have guns. What do you think?

I truely believe that capital and corporal punishment should be used in many instances as a replacement for prison time. For example say a multiple rapist gets 40 years, hes never getting out is he or if he does he will be so messed up he will probably kill himself. Why not execute him in a proven painless fashion, saves tax payer money and overall the actual convict a lot of pain. The argument that we cant kill them because they MIGHT be innocent seems bizarre... You cant sentence someone to life in prison unless you are really sure can you?
