I read something about private beaches and wondered - can you just walk by in the shallows, or do you have to swim?

I purchased a home and later found that a known problem existed at the time of the sale. The seller had made attempts to repair the problem. The Property Disclosure Form required that the owner disclose any attempted repairs to this specific item in the previous 5 years. The prior owner is now claiming that their realtor told them not to disclose the problem. Does this absolve the seller from liability? The real estate contract clearly says that they realtor is not an attorney and does not provide legal advice. Also, the statute of limitations is not an issue in this case. Thoughts?

would then the crime rate drop instead of blaming guns for crime, when will they stop trying to take away the freedoms, the right to bare arms,if they would work to solve the issues instead giving handouts out, maybe they could sleep better at night, knowing people are to tired to get out and commit crimes

There were 2 seperate pages; 1 was a summons and the other was a complaint but no other information was included. It states I need to be present at the court. Is this an actual hearing where I need to enter a plea or are they stating information they may have against me? Do I need a lawyer? The hearing is coming up pretty soon. Who do I contact at the court about this information. If I need a lawyer will they grant me more time? Thanks for the replies.

I recieved a 6 month ban on my driving licence today as a result of speeding, it totted up to 12 points but my offence was only 37 in a 30mph zone, apparently I didn't plead excessive hardship strongly enough although keeping my job is dependent on me keeping my licence, I don't think the magistrates ruling was fair - HELP!!!

This is based on a story in a British newspaper a couple of years ago. I didn't follow it up so I don't know the outcome, but maybe some legal eagle out there can suggest the possible verdict..
The story went like this... a thief stole a ladies handbag and got away. There was a credit card in the bag belonging to the lady, and he used it to place a bet on the horses at a bookmakers. (Not sure if it was an internet bookies, or high street) Soon after, the thief was caught and arrested. The ladies bag and credit card were returned to her. Meanwhile, the horse won the race that the man had bet on. SO..the question is - who legally owns the winnings from the bet? Is it the thief (who place the bet), the lady (whose credit card was used to place the bet), the police, (who might possibly claim the winnings as it was the proceeds of a crime), -or does the bookmaker refuse to pay out?..

Lets say there is a guy and a girl that have a child together. The girl is a honor roll, full time student with a part time job, with a clear criminal history. The man is a full-time student with two part time jobs, but he has an excessive criminal history, all of which are for some type of assault. He has no felonies though.

They get into a physical fight-with the guy choking the girl-and then the girl hits the guy~Who will have the more likely chance of getting custody of the child?

I dont know about your state but in Florida, every other commercial is from some bloodsucker. They want to sue truckers, bar owners, liqour stores, employers and homeowners for any reason. I am really sick and tired of them driving up drug prices, homeowners/auto/health insurance rates by suing everyone. They really must think they serve a purpose in life. Isnt it about time liberals got on the bandwagon and said tort reform now?
