If you have initiated and conducted a three year ruinous war by telling the American people that a nation had Weapons of Mass Destruction, and if you are trying to pull America into another war because of a claim that a nation -- Iran -- might develop Weapons of Mass Destruction, isn't it treason to intentionally render useless a CIA operative who specializes in tracking the illegal sales and transfer of Weapons of Mass Destruction?

President George W. Bush and his administration ARE guilty of Treason for the things you describe. Yes, 'Treason' is defined narrowly by the U.S. Constitution but let us not forget that President Bush does not think the U.S. Constitution applies to him, he feels that he is above the U.S. Constitution. After all, President Bush says that, "I am the decider." So I think that he has already 'Decided' that we should not apply the U.S. Constitution in such matters that involve himself.

Treason, as defined, is the crime of disloyalty to ones nation or state. In the US, its defined within the Constitution; Article III Section 3:

Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort. No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.

Treason is defined very narrowly by constitution:
"Treason against the United States, shall consist ONLY in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. "(Article III, Section 3)[1]
President Bush's actions no matter how wrong or short-sited do not rise to levying war against United States or actively helping US's enemies.
