unison have excluded bank nursing staff from making an equal pay claim against the NHS. This seems like discrimination towards bank staff who will not be able to make a claim via their union. Can anyone advise me on this. many thanks.

It costs £20,000 per prisoner per year, which we the taxpayer pay.
Now for 'minor offences' like theft, or bullying (ABH, GBH), anti-social behaviour and the like why not try other methods.
Possible answers- the stocks in the town square ( a humiliating act in which the offender lies exposed to the wrath of the public in the confines of wooden lock over the head and the hands)
Branding with a hot iron, etc

Showing the power of mass contempt for their breaches of social law, the offenders would realise this powerful deterrent instead of a soft society which can be manipulated according to their childish instincts.
..Maybe not so much 'ducking' and hanging!

Community service is a let off and a joke.

The first couple days I wrote wrong address and sent back. But this mail is getting ridiculous. I get about 7 items a day that are for past tenants. Is it against the law to just destroy it?

Thanks.

I have received numerous e-mails about a dispute from ebay concerning something that someone supposedly "bought" from me. The problem is, I have never even used ebay or bought/sold items over the internet. Does anyone know how to contact someone from ebay to get this straightened out? I already went to the website and found no help there. Is there some kind of ebay scam going on or do you think someone hacked into my computer and got my e-mail address?? Any help would be apprecitated in this matter. Thank you.

Hi...I just learned that there is a Private Investigator sitting in a car in the neighbours drive-way directly in front of my house - we live in Toronto, Ontario. He was there yesterday and has been there the past few hours this morning. This is making us extremely uncomfortable...are there any laws behind P.I.'s? If I approach him to ask if he's investigating anyone in my household, will he by law have to tell me the truth? Please fill me in if you know the answers.
Thanks!

Shouldnt if be our right to wear a seat belt or no? My uncle was hit in the driver door. The door, and my uncle went out the passenger door, and the stick shift and sleen and kidney went up in his right lung. He was pronounced dead on scene, (revived), pronounced dead in the ambulance(revived), pronounced dead in the er (revived). Several surgeries, 5 days of coma, and 6 years of rehab later. He escaped with only functional brain damage.
The doc said if he had on his seat belt he would not have made it for sure, because it would have trapped him, instead of pushing him out the other door.
He was on the job too, and only recieved $10k. And, the drunk driver that hit him recieved 5 yrs probation for a dui and a 5k fine.

if you think about it, money could solve a lot of problems, but i guess it also causes it as it brings selfishness. do you think there would be no world poverty if there was no money? but then if there was more money, there would be more you could use it for. hmmm. what do you think?

We were out of town for a couple of months when we returned the house was ransacked and several expensive things were stolen.(tv, all terrain vehicles, lawn mower). When the adjuster came he didnt even looked at the broken windows or any of the other damage. He said there might be a clause in policy for house unoccupied for more than 30 days. He came back 1 1/2 wks later saying there wasnt a clause like that. He took pics and now is requesting are proof of household income for the past 3 yrs. We do have another claim for wind and water damage that occured while we were gone. They said it has to be a seperate claim even though we told them about all of it at the same time. I dont think are income should have anything to do with it. Its just not there business, really. Please let me know if its legal and if I have to let them know.
