I have received numerous e-mails about a dispute from ebay concerning something that someone supposedly "bought" from me. The problem is, I have never even used ebay or bought/sold items over the internet. Does anyone know how to contact someone from ebay to get this straightened out? I already went to the website and found no help there. Is there some kind of ebay scam going on or do you think someone hacked into my computer and got my e-mail address?? Any help would be apprecitated in this matter. Thank you.

since u havent used e-bay im thinking this is a very smart scam.

im sure this isnt ebay but a bunch of loosers who are trying to get your credit card details.

only way to find out is replyign to the email and asking them to explain wat happened. if they ask u enter bank details or fill out a from im 100 % certain this is a cheap but smartly thought of scam.

take care

Yes, you can report this. First of all, never ever click on a link contained within those emails. You must just forward it to eBay at spoof@ebay.com they will investigate the origin of the email & let you know if it actually came from them or if it is a scam. I have gotten several about my ebay account saying it would be suspended if I did not update it. So I forwarded it to ebay & sure enough, it was a scam. So when in doubt...don't. Forward it & let ebay deal with it.
Good Luck & God Bless!

I got scared at first like what the hell..and the item number didnt even work. HAHAHA but yeah. I thin that ebay gets payed for it. Because onvce i started reporting it. I started getting more spam from them. Hey you never know. People have to make extra money somehow right. It's not like you went to another site but ebay to give your email.

Don't worry about this. The people who are doing this just want to get your information. Do not fall for this they are scamers . You need to try and contact Ebay about this if that does not help don't worry about it. Also if you do not have an Ebay account then you should not be opening the E-mails because they might be viruses. I got a viruse from them because i opened one of there E-mails. We live in such a crazy world these days you do not know who to trust.

bypass into paypal, go with the transaction and click on the link to dispute it. There aren't any expenses for a paypal dispute as far as i comprehend, very last time an merchandise did not arrive I recieved my money again in finished. do not close the dispute till you've the item or the refund. sellers are responsible for paying for the item competently to you, in the adventure that they despatched it trackable (say royal mail recorded signed for) and function info of delivery the received't lose the declare. yet seeing as you do not have the item some sellers recon if the customer would not take out insurance they are not responsible for misplaced products. They get a rude awakening as to their lack of expertise even as a customer information a dispute.

It's probably a scam. Someone sent me an email sayin I owed 'em $400 for a watch I didn't even buy. Ebay sucks sometimes.

Ignore it.... and do not give any personal information away like cc#'s or address... phone, protect yourself. It is a scam. You can report it to ebay, but other than that don't worry about it.

it is a scam. they are probably trying to get you're ebay username and password. (they send them to random email addresses, hoping that you have an account and are gullible enough to give them the info)
