i was in the hardees parking lot waiting on a friend. when an unmarked police suv pulled up and an undercover officer approached my car with his gun out. It was dark and late so when i saw a guy with a gun comming towards my car i got the hell out of there. when a marked car got behind me i pulled over and they rushed my car pulled me out of the window, threw me on the ground on my stomach, put my hands behind my back and started punching me in the face and kicking me. i had 2 go to the hospital for x-rays and pain/swelling meds. even if i was up 2 no good are they allowed 2 beat me up while im on the ground?

Don't talk to me about modifying a toaster. Please refer to relevant copyright / intellectual property law. I am aware of the Sony case in the High Court - I am not convinced that this case means it is okay for Xboxes because they are built differently.

Again, don't just say "I'm allowed to mod because I bought it and I can do what I want with it."

If relevant, please make reference to the Microsoft License Agreement, which all Xbox users allegedly agreed to.

...I still love you?
And I want you to love me too.

My love is higher
higher than the empire state
My love is wider
wider then victoria lake

I can give you more than that
Surely you want me back

Is it a crime?

I am disgusted by the insensitive answers people give on there. I keep seeing questions about suicide and there are always the smart asses who actually give advice to perhaps mentally instable people about how to do it. It is completely immoral and wrong, even if noone is really thinking of suicide and just joking around. I dont know how any answers could ever be competent and i think that people dont realize what responsibility they assume on their shoulders when they respond in the mental health section. What do you think?

I was watching Geraldo Large today. There was a topic about Wal-Mart not taking the time out to prosecute shoplifters who steal under $25.

Thanks Geraldo for doing a story on this. Maybe the word will get out and people will steal you blind and you will go back to prosectuing those who steal...

What kind of message does this send out to our society. It is not ok to steal at any price!

I wonder, how can we answer questions with really little knowledge except for our own experience and maybe education without taking full responsibility for the outcome of our answers. There are people out there who want to lose 60 pounds and are 125 pounds, others who are contemplating a kind of rape or people who are just very lost. How do we answer to them when they choose an answer that may cost them their future or their lives?

If we could sacrifice punishing criminals for the sake of making them truly better people, would it be better? Or should their punishment be first priority?

I was thinking...is there anyone out there that believes that an aggressor found guilty of injuring a victim should spend at LEAST the same amount of JAIL time as the time needed for the victim to heal? IE. 3 months of pain, surgery and emotional injury of victim EQUALS 3 months of jail time. Death of victim EQUALS life sentence for aggressor.
Now mind you, I am not looking for a pro-life/pro-death argument for prisoners on death row.
I am just looking to see if the idea makes sense. :)
Thanks.
