I am white, tall and my parents both are European. I don't have a single drop of latin blood, but in the US forms they still put me as Latin/Hispanic. I am truly a Caucasian, why the confusion?

The other day my boss asked me to take a 30 minute break. Afterward, he wouldn't let me come back for another 30 minutes because we were slow and even then I had to argue to clock back in. My friend told me that is illegal. Is that true?

dont you think it it is awful that you can be taken in without traill and be held inside indefinetely??? and on top of that you are tortured constantly! It could easily happen to anyone... for example a terrorist steals your credit cards and then you are the one who is suspected and taken away without proof

emancipated in the State of Florida if she is 16 and pregnant? My son's girlfriend is pregnant and she may end up staying with us but our apartment mgr. says she can't be on the lease since she is not our daughter and under 18 - as she would have to be emancipated first. Her father doesn't have a problem with her staying with us (everyone in relationship is positive and supportive). I am going to look this information up but running out of time. If anyone knows the answer, please let me know - have to clock in to work. If you are not in Florida and you have an answer, please let me know you are from out of state as every state is different. Oh -- and they watch who goes in and out and we could lose the apt. if there is indication someone living there without being on the lease. Moving out of question - just signed lease too.

How can money influence court cases? Are the judges payed for? The Jury? How can someone get 29 years for armed burgulary when nothing was stolen and no one was harmed? Some one like OJ Simpson can murder in cold blood and buy their way out of it. A lawyer or politician can get out of a DUI with reckless driving charges. This kind of thing happens all the time. How can we fix this? How can a person of average income get that kind of representation?

Can an employee of an at-will employer be fired for receiving LEGAL unemployment benefits after having their hours cut in half? I was called into my managers office today and told that my unemployment benefits are hurting the practice more than helping, and that my job may be jepordized because of it. Is this legal in Michigan?

You're driving down the street obeying traffic laws and generally being a good citizen, when some idiot kid wanders into traffic.

You slam on the brakes and swerve, missing the kid and leaving a puddle on the car seat.

You have two choices. You can shut up, drive home 5 miles an hour and have a stiff belt. Or you can take a moment to tell the kid how she almost got herself killed and ruined your life forever.
You're better off going with the first option, considering what happened to Barnaby, who went with the second.
This is because the 28-year-old Evanston, Ill., man ended up - and this is not a joke - being officially branded a sex offender.

individuals are taxed twice for the services that used to be included with tax. The tax increases are disguised as fees that must be paid prior to providing any service, or release of public information. If indigent, and unable to pay fees, service and access is denied. Freedom of information must therefore only apply to those who can afford to pay.
