The other day my boss asked me to take a 30 minute break. Afterward, he wouldn't let me come back for another 30 minutes because we were slow and even then I had to argue to clock back in. My friend told me that is illegal. Is that true?

It would depend on how you are hired hourly, weekly, Monthly and then are you Union or not if not and you were hired hourly. He had no work. He had to lay you off the fact that you were lucky enough to talk him into letting you clock back in. Without all the rest of the info. it would be hard to say one way or the other

Sorry guy
