Greetings:
'Knowing' is defined as that aspect of consciousness that categorizes phenomena.
This makes it very easy for humanity, for the purpose of identification and/or definition in communication. So humanity categorizes all varieties in all kingdoms.
But since humanity is in its infancy in knowledge (not to mention wisdom), errors in judgement in categorizing various phenomena can be expected and will always happen. (You should read some of the stuff they have the gall to call "science" in anthropology and archaeology.)
You can get some instant relief, if you have a troubled mind, by reading J. A. Rogers, "Nature Knows No Color Line".
Or, you may also find many more beautiful answers, if you look within.
Peace,
Well-wisher

Caucasian is a vague term. The majority of the people in Europe, the Middle-East, and central Asia are Caucasian. Caucasian does not mean 'white'. Many Latin Americans are Caucasian.

I was in your place once! My family is Basque.. I was labeled Latin cause we're from Europe.. BUT, I was born here in the states! I'm 6 foot light brown hair hazel eyes and a touch of pigment to give me light olive complexion. Still look white as ever :) But, It is still considered Latin. Big different between LATIN and Hispanic people and culture! BUT, if your in school still by chance.... You can get grants and a free college ride now days if your Latin or Hispanic. Use to be more so for "black" students... Now, they are really catering to the Hispanic and Latin students! So, dislike it but use it to your advantage!!

Do you have spanish or portuguese heritage? That is strange. You should be able to check off the ethnicity.
