when I called police he left the scene and later he was arrested. My dad had to go to police station and an police officer interviewed him and the guy and told us that he has been charged with assault, because the guy admitted the assault on my dad.
From now on what is going to happen to my dad and the guy?
Do we have to go to court or what kind of charge(fine,prison,etc..) he gets?...l

the guy got charged with assault but the guy is making an allegation on me that I threatened him to kill. When I heard a phone call from my mom that the guy is beating my dad, I ran to the place and try to go after him but mom and my brother was stopping me doing that only I swore to him using F..words because I was very upset seeing blood on my dad. I only swore at him. What should I do with this allegation which I don't remember saying that?

Depends on where you are. Each state has different procedures. And cannot say what the fine, prison etc. is without knowing what state and what he is charged with. (or how bad your dad was injured)

BUT, it will mostly depend upon the guy. If he is charged with the assault, the guy will have to go into court and plea. If he pleads guilty he will be sentenced (probably probation) and your dad won't have to do anything.

If he pleads not guilty then the case will go to trial and your dad will have to go into court to testify in the case.

(edit - if there was a threat, hopefully the prosecutor will see it in the context you were in. If you are charged, hire an attorney, or if you cannot afford one, the court can appoint one to help you (and then charge a nominal fee after). I wouldn't worry about it until I heard from the proscuting office - you can call them if you like to find out.)

That guy may try to plea bargain, but he will definately get some sort of punishment out of it.
As far as his aligations of you, I would not worry about it at all. There is no proof of it.
The police won't take him seriously either because of what he did to your dad.
He is probably just trying to get anyone in trouble because he is.

if they will go to court it will just be for a short while since the problem is just small. it is good for your dad , the guy who hit him will be punished.
