I was just involved in a car accident and the vehicle towing company charged me $175 for towing the vehicle, $100 for cleaning up the mess (barely any mess), and $25 per day for having it in their lot.

Is it legal for them to charge $25 every day? I have no money and I need my car back.

We and my husband got in a fight, and we ended up in jail for 1 day. The judge gave us only PTR, not any bail, and we agreed to not fight again. We want the charges to be dropped, bcz if they arent droped, my husband will be discualified for his current job (i dont work), and we wont have money to pay for my leukemia treatment. How this can be done?

So why would anyone doubt that this will lead to electoral success in a Democracy?

Do you think more Americans would pursue and appreciate a higher education if only college graduates were allowed to vote? Any field of study, doesn't really matter.

I know it is unfair to the under privileged, but perhaps liberal handouts could assist in their education, instead of other endless squanderings of the dollar.

When you decide your signature for your driver license or bank account, does it have to consist of "letters?" Or other than just letters, is it okay to use codes, numbers, or even symbols as your signature?

In other words, can your signature be ANYTHING? Even just a circle, if you want??

Hello! I'm on a search and rescue team that has a military structure.

Recently a sergeant position opened up and several people applied for it, including myself and a good friend. It was pretty clear that my friend and I were the strongest candidates by far. In fact, most of us thought there was a good chance we'd both be promoted because we both are equally qualified.

I was the only one who got promoted, and I'm now my good friend's direct superior. I know he wanted this position badly... how can I make this situation easier for him?

If so, what do you like about her platform? I was just thinking as a middle income white male, if she was president I might go broke. I can see why the rich and not so fortunate minorities would like to see her in office, but what does she offer for us white middle class citizens?

The Pope and Hillary Rodham Clinton were on the same stage in front of a huge crowd.

But did you know that with just one little wave of MY hand I can make EVERY person in the crowd go crazy with joy? This joy will not be a momentary display like that of your subjects, but will go deep into their hearts, and they will forever speak of this day and rejoice."

People are just leery. It's more of a gut feeling than anything else, but I'm not sure where to turn for answers. Suggestions? I don't want to cause static in the church more than is already there by "asking around" until I have some facts to present. If there are, in fact, facts TO present.....

Just as I predicted, at the 11th hour, in the middle of the night they signed the bill.

At our school we are having a mock trial and Friar Lawrence is going to be the defendant. I am personally being forced to be John. Anyway.. she is saying that Lawrence can be blamed for assisted suicide for Rome and Juliet. She says that he could not marry the children without permission because apparently back in the 1300s(I think?) children... especially women were considered property of their fathers so they need permission to marry someone. She also says that the Friar should have reported when Romeo and Juliet at one point both threatened the Friar with killing themselves... she says it wasn't technically a confession so the Friar should have reported them to the families.. although when Juliet threatened to kill herself she indeed did say she was going to confession to get forgiveness for her sins(having the fight with her father). My teacher is basically saying the Friar did everything wrong. He should never have given Juliet the potion and shouldn't have come up with that whole
