As a college graduate, let me assure you that there are a lot of graduates who don't have a clue about politics.

i believe that more citizens would go to college if they didn't have to pay for it, and, i think that adding that as a qualification to vote is going back to the Jim Crow laws...
Congratulations! This idea would further increase the bounds of the class war in the US and take voting rights back a few centuries.

I do not see that Americans feel voting is important enough to warrant a college education. The voting percentage has increased recently in this country, but the right to vote does not seem to be as important to Americans as, say, their right to come out of the closet.

No, not at all.
American culture overall doesn't place enough importance on voting regardless of what you here in the news. There are so many people that just don't care or are to ignorant to know enough to care, even among the educated.

Probably not, most people don't really care about voting. Just look at the percent of people who vote. Especially young people. Only 17% of people 18-25 years old vote

Not everyone needs or wants a college degree, yet they're perfectly able to vote. After all, who would pick up your stinking garbage if everyone was a college graduate?

no. there wouldn't be very many people going to college just to vote. Thats like saying, if you go to med school you can get a free golf club. It would make a lot more sence though ,that only people with a high school diploma or G.E.D be allowed to vote.

Everyone should experience college, and everyone should experience voting, for we can only know if something is right for us by first experiencing it.
If some people choose not to go to college, and not to vote, that should be up to them, not forced on them by a law.

a dumb law like that wouldn't pass w/o americans appreciating higher education. But, I do think an IQ standard should be required for voter eligability. like only 80 and above...

Well, the "underprivileged " are the hard workers who cannot afford college tuition because the gvt gives free tuition to the "over-privileged", if you get my drift.
