Yes the Army Reserve does pay for college. Both Active Duty and also the Army Reserve get $4500 a year for tuition assistance. On top of that the Army Reserve you can max out what is called the Select Reserve Montgomery GI Bill at $24,012. But what a lot of Army personnel do not know is that their GI bill doesn't really need to be touched because you can use that $4500 I mentioned before. That $4500 renews every year too. It does not roll over if you don't use it all though. With active duty the most money for college you can get combining the GI Bill and Army College Fund is $73,836. It might still say $72,900 most places you look. Go to www.goarmy.com and you can dig deeper.

Like all jobs in the Army, it depends on your contract and MOS. Different jobs offer different benifits. Only real way to find out is to talk to a recruiter.

On the National Guard side it is the same, plus certain states will offer benifits on top of it if you stay in the state.

You can get the GI Bill but it isn't that much...and you qualify for $4500 a year for TA.
