Dr. Paul is running for president on the Republican ticket. He's a 10 time elected Congressman and had always been elected as a Republican. He has libertarian and fical conservative views. He is a former OBGYN/gynecologist. He was drafted during the Cuban Missle Crisis as a flight surgeon on the USAF. Back in '88, he also ran for pres in the Libertarian Party. But now, he is running on the GOP platform not only for being a Republican, but because he wants to bring back the standard limited government, low taxes, and anti-war platform it once used to be. He is the ONLY one willing to bring back the troops from the occupation of Iraq, and Middle East, get rid of the IRS, who are the ones deflating our current value of our dollar, and also bring back the country the way it was founded, as a Republic, not a socialist democracy. Also, having a limited government, will reduce spending overseas, give power to the states, and let us know how the Constitution really works.

Ron Paul is:
1) A Republican Texan Congressman that has served several terms in the House of Representatives.
2) A strong supporter of the Constitution. (His voting records show that he truly practices what he preaches.)
3) The only candidate that is ready to get us out of the mess in Iraq IMMEDIATELY and not through some "staged withdrawal" that might take several years.
4) The only candidate that wants to stabilize our currency(i.e. gold standard), eliminate the IRS, and cut government spending all around so that the government can take their hands out of our pocket books.
5) The only candidate that wants to get rid of tax-funded welfare for the illegal immigrants which in turn will cut down on the number of immigrants that are here in American illegally.
That is who Ron Paul is.

A libertarian who ran for President back in the 80's, he failed to gain much momentum. Gaining less then .5% of the vote. He since has decided to change his party affiliation to republican and has decided to give the white house another shot. This time as a major party candidate, though he does not reflect the views of the Republican Party.
Ron Paul currently runs on a platform of overturning roe v. wade, aboloshing the federal reserve, having all money backed by gold, US withdrawl of NATO, and the UN. Ron Paul would like to eliminate most federal agencies including the CIA and IRS, and eliminating the income tax.

Ron Paul has proposed and supported legislation for congressional term limits yet has himself has served in congress since the 70's.
