When you decide your signature for your driver license or bank account, does it have to consist of "letters?" Or other than just letters, is it okay to use codes, numbers, or even symbols as your signature?

In other words, can your signature be ANYTHING? Even just a circle, if you want??

I believe you can use your "mark" any way you want, such as a person who can't write uses an "X". However, some legal documents may require that you sign your name, and not a "mark", so I guess it depends on what you are signing, and for whom.

Yes, you can create your own symbol. However, it is recommendable to use more complicated symbols than "O" or "X". The purpose of signature is on the personal id. It assumed that your behavior would only modify slightly over your life time.

Beside signing with pen, it is acceptable by law-courts on digital signature, i.e. an electronic signature on a document according to PKI protocol.

Yes, you can even sign by mark. Some people sign their name by making an "X", and I know of another situation where somebody signed his name by drawing a picture of a chicken.
