That's up to you. Until you figure that out, register as an Independent so you can pick which primary you wish to vote in.

Your political positions are 5 conservative and 4 liberal.
I would put more weight towards the following: abortion and
illegals. In these categories you are conservative. So I think
the Republican party best suites you. Being against the war
isn't a significant bellweather since people are all over the board on that one. Same goes for gay marriage, imo.
Pro high minimum wage indicates that you are liberal on
economic issues. I do not see any other economic issues on your list besides minimum wage. If you were conservative
you would be more inclined to let the free market decide wages.

it is less a question of political party and more a matter of individual candidates, as some of your statements go against the normal grain, per se:
for example, the liberal (democratic party) is usually (not always) pro-abortion but also pro-gay. You should look ateach candidate to see which you prize.
Saying that you are one or theother in a cas like yous, wherethere are differences, would be against some of what you believe in.
p.s. don't just believe what the ppl on here say, obviously most of the will want you on their side- just go with what YOU find the best, not what someone TELLS you is the best.

You got 5/9 right wing positions and 3/9 left wing. I'm calling pro animal rights a draw.
If you are unfortunate enough to live in a country with only two parties, then you would seem a better fit with the Republicans.

If you are for minimizing government you may be closer to the Ron Paul camp than anything else.
If you are for lots of social programs then you are probably more left but your pro-gun will be problematic.
If you could describe your world view in a word or two, what would they be, that might help you sort through some of the unusual combinations of ideas you have.

Do some research into other issues and add them to your list, don't forget foreign policy, the health service, or the economy or corruption. Remember, anyone of these things could hit you in the pocket or affect your life badly. While people argue about headline issues or the personality of politicians they miss out on the real issues.
Who will get the country out of debt
Who will protect the country against bent corporations
Who will deliver safe health care
Who will best lead on climate change issues
Who will provide security
Who will improve schools
Who will do something about cities, bridges and roads
Who will protect against natural disasters
Who will promote employment
Who will help relations with other countries
Most of the issues you mention won't affect anything or be affected by who gets in, they are all emotion grabbing headline sound-bites which are meant to side-line and confuse you.

animal rights, gay marriage and the war have nothing to do with any major party. you wouldn't be accepted in the Democratic party for being anti abortion. I don't know any party that favors giving illegals amnesty. For your positions on guns, stem cell research, border fence and abortion you would best fit the Republican party.

Sounds like your majority of issues are right leaning. Vote republican. You'll be at home with the narrow minded point of view.

you're really all over the map so it's really hard to relate your political views into one party. However, you should run down those lists and compare your positions to the candidates running. Then, find the candidate who's positions are the most similar to yours and I guess the party of that candidate fits you the best.

Political parties peg people into affiliations which don't represent their values. I say don't join a party. Rather check off non-aligned or independent voter. This way you won't feel pressured into voting because of the candidate's party affiliation and allow you to vote for the candidate which best matches your value system.
