I know someone who is planning to enlist in the Navy...He wants to know what would be his average savings in 4 years of active duty.

He says the average pay is around 1300 every 15th day..Is he correct?

Do you think he can save a lot of money?

Lately, I have been reading a good number of articles regarding very poor police work around Will County. First, there was Drew Peterson whom had two wives die under very suspicious circumstances. As I have been watching this story unfold, it seems that some Peterson's friends on the police force weren't exactly interested in thoroughly evaluating the death of his third wife. Then, there is another case in which a person won a 15.5 million dollar judgement against the Will County sheriffs dept for being falsely accused of the crime (Chicago Tribune lead story). To me, this indicates a pretty serious problem involving a fairly large segment of the police down in the Will County area. Am curious about the various opinions I will get regarding the police in this case.

Abortion, religion, gunlaw, immigrants and tax issues dominate Y Answers. The country that doesn't deal well in it's relations with other countries, respond to climate change, natural disasters and resource shortages will be in trouble. Also education, employment, obesity, healthcare and infrastructure including bridges and transport are important. Corruption can ruin a nation. Why don't serious questions get considered in US politics?

I recently watched Fahrenheit 9-11 again and I had to stop the video during Bush's "My Pet Goat" moment and ponder that incident.

Michael Moore suggests that the look on Bush's face is saying, "I wonder which of my Saudi buddies screwed me over." But I don't think that's really accurate. I think that the look on his face reveals that he had heard discussions about a possible false-flag attack on the World Trade Centers within the neocon hierarchy but that he had no idea it was a actually go. I think that look reveals that Bush was left out of the loop.

Here's a video of Bush during the moment in question. Opinions?

It is about 25 degrees today where I live, colder than I remember it being for quite a long time. with this in mind, how can Democrats still support the hoax of global warming, since it's obvious that the melting ice is not a problem. In fact, looking out my window outside, I can see plenty of ice out there right now.

I know I will get a lot of liberals' hopes down by debunking global warming, since they want it to happen so badly (part of their scheme to turn the USA into a socialist state), and I make no apologies for this, since they are crooks.

There exists no single, silver bullet to take down this beast, but it will take a lot of ingenuity and hardwork. What are some ideas that you all have out there about tackling the issue of Global Poverty?
I realize there are many socio-political issues involved in this, so please refrain from bashing anyone in the process.

She is in the Coast Guard and lives off base (most Coasties do) but her credit is poor from before enlisting. Her roomrate got orders and she can not afford the rent alone 1500 month. The new apt has rent of 1000 and she gets 1300 for rent so she has the money. But if she is transferred and we have co signed as guarantors are we off the hook> She is in California and we live in Illinois.
Thanks for any information you may have.

Within 18 seconds of this video Hillary admits it was her husbands presidency (the last decade) that built the intelligence to go to war with Iraq. This after Bill downsized the CIA and military. Can you honestly consider Hillary as the Democratic nomination? Especially after all her flip-flopping.

My friend is being all emo and is telling everyone when he turns eighteen he's going to join the army so he can finally fit in or because he wants to die or some other b.s. reason. Anyways, I'm consoling his girlfriend that he wouldn't be able to join the army because he has epilepsy, but she says he said no he checked. I'm confused, because my father wasn't able to get into the army just because he had flat feet, so I thought there was no way they'd let someone a condition like that join. So could a person with epilepsy be able to join the army?

A couple months back i was in a car accident. Rear ended. I had never been in an accident before so all of this was/is very new to me. I went with the first lawyer that I spoke with. That may or may not have been a mistake. My attorney is telling me that I may not see any $$ from the accident. I was transported to the hospital after...and saw a chiropractor whom he recommended, for a month and a half. While going to these apps. one of the doctors had said some innappropriate things. I did report it to the owner of the practice. I will tell you I was surprised that he knew this doc. was being this way. By the way, my bill to them is over 2g's.
Now that my case is closing...I am being made to feel as if i should be grateful for their svcs. My lawyer stated he had to convince the adjuster to settle..(wasnt my fault) and that after the fees to him and the dctr...I may not have anything to come home with. The other parties insurance co. totaled out my car. Is this how it goes?

I overstayed my visa for quiet a long time. Believe it or not I didn't want to come over here but was forced by my family who got a work permit. I was only 15 and was happy in my home country. Anyway, I overstayed, worked and went to college without proper documents (became illegal, worked illegally). I just got married and my husband and I had our interview yesterday. He didn't even ask personal questions, he believed our marriage right away but once they saw I worked and went to school after my permit expired he wasn't as nice as when we first saw us (naturally). He judged me like a criminal and he has the right. He gave us the I-601 and when I asked how long I had to grab my stuff before being deported he said "You're not being deported, I don't want to ruin your lives." When we finished he said "Merry Christmas, fill up the form, be convincing and this is my Christmas present for you guys." My hubby's gonna write the letter and give it back to him. What should he say in it? Thanks

I know that we have it pretty good here in America, and many think that people should follow suit with our version of democracy in other parts of the world. But is it our decision to make? And aren't there other ways of encouraging human rights and free elections without using military action?
