Tancredo used undocumented workers to enhance his home. This is now public knowledge. How much did it contribute to his bowing out?

It is time for more light and less heat on immigration. The rhetoric has been so full of anger and vitriol. It really is not productive, not conducive to finding real solutions for the problems that confront our country. Perhaps it is a very good thing that he drops out so that everyone tones down a few notches the heat on immigration.

The hypocrisy is rampant. We all consume products made less expensive by undocumented workers. Every time we eat out, it is more affordable because of undocumented workers. every hotel the candidates stay in is staffed by undocumented workers. All the groceries we buy are cheaper because of undocumented workers. Romney is not the only one who benefits from the landscaping crews staffed by the undocumented. The hypocrisy is rampant.

None. If you followed Tancredo, you would have discovered long ago he entered the Presidential Race for the specific reason of bringing the issue to the race. He never assumed he had a chance, and in his presentations in the debates, he came across as one who was a pretty decent man, but a college professor far more than a leader of the United States.

His position on immigration and illegal aliens is actually rather moderate. The illegal aliens have lost a friend in fact. Other elements want far more than he does, and while he has passed the light to others, I am hoping his voice is still heard in this nation.

Shame on him for trusting a contractor he hired would do the right thing and hire legal citizens. It's all his Tancredo's' fault for picking that contractor and not going through lengthy process of checking ever single worker the contractor hired to see if they were legal.

God forbid we place an ounce of trust in someone that they might do the right thing and hire legal citizens. If I were going to remodel my house, I would get estimates and then check every single employee of every single contracting and construction companies to make sure they were legal, Yeah right.

I wonder what would have happened if Tancredo had demanded that the construction company provide him with proof of legal status for every one of their Spanish speaking employees. Would you same people be applauding him or calling him a racist and demanding that he be sued for racial profiling.

I smell hypocrisy, but it's not Tom's.

I am not sure I would put much faith in the writings of a web site whose articles display such poor use of grammar example "that he suffered from mentally illnesses"

In a Democracy, you speak your mind and Tom did that. He put a lot of energy into trying to right many wrongs.

He knows he can't win but he gave his support to M. Romney as he supports his stance on illegals and what they do in regards to immigration. Why throw good money after bad?
He made his points in many different ways and I personally applaud him for that.

The hypocrisy you speak of is the result of our laws and order not being maintained. If you let a bunch of foreign workers invade your country and put Americans out of biz, who do you think is going to do the work? Sure, the illegals.
Lots of us don't want it this way but we don't have a choice anymore. Another loss of the freedom to chose between one and another. Now, as a result of bad policy, our only choice is between one illegal and another illegal.

I don't call that hypocrisy ...I call it desperate!

I'm so glad this Italian hypocrite dropped out! He like most right-wing Republicans have at some point hired illegal immigrants and now are blasting illegal immigrants to get elected. Also it didn't help that he was dead last in every poll. What happened to all his Yahoo supporters who claimed he had a great chance of winning? haha!
I guess most people don't care that much about Immigration as you claim.
