I was in Ft. Worth and saw a U.S soldier get spat on by a complete stranger in an airport. How can people possibly hate our troops for serving us individually and serving our country? I grew up when people did not respect the National Anthem and Pledge of Allegiance, which makes me feel sick. Kids grow up having too much handed to them while not knowing the true value of their own hard earned money. I see little teenaged brats getting everything handed to them on their “super sweet 16”(a new car, a 100,000 dollar birthday party) and I feel angered. I almost feel we deserve other countries to hate us for these self-absorbed anti-patriotic whiney-kids. I feel like if we don’t whip these kids up into shape soon our country will have no future. What happened to the great U.S i used to know? (perhaps it's hidden in Texas?)

1) Halliburton billed taxpayers $1.4 billion in questionable and undocumented charges under its contract to supply troops in Iraq, as documented by the Pentagon’s own auditors.

2) Parsons billed taxpayers over $200 million under a contract to build 142 health clinics, yet completed fewer than 20. According to Iraqi officials, the rest were “imaginary clinics.”

3) Custer Battles stole forklifts from Iraq’s national airline, repainted them, then leased the forklifts back to the Coalition Provisional Authority (CPA) through a Cayman Islands shell company — charging an extra fee along the way.

Its easy,

If you don't want to die, don't do the crime.

Anyone stupid enough not to realize this simple rule deserves their fate.

My opinion.

I am still in high school; however, I'm intrested in joining the U.S. Military. I am curious as to which one I should look into, and how to tell my parents (they don't seen to take me seriously when I mention the subject). I feel as if I could succeed in any branch, I love the water, I love speed, and I'm not afraid combat. If anyone has any suggestions please let me know.

I'm wondering if your government has a effective plan that helps or supports surviving family members of convicts executed for various reasons (capital murder, rape, etc); specifically, spouses who are about to become widowed, and children who are about to lose a parent or become orphaned due to capital punishment.

If you do have a plan or legal procedure, what is it? If not, are you currently putting one into effect or planning to develop one in the near future?

Fifty-four-year-old Robert Wheeland was bound over for trial yesterday after four teenage girls testified during a preliminary hearing before a Muskogee County judge. Much of the testimony was held in the judge’s chamber because of the girls’ ages.

Wheeland is facing three counts each of lewd molestation and second-degree rape and one count each of rape by instrumentation and taking indecent photographs of a minor.

A 16-year-veteran of the Haskell Police Department, Wheeland is accused of using his position as a police officer to seduce his alleged victims.

We have already lost MANY of our allies in the world. How do you think these countries will view us if we can't even get along with our border countries?Would we as a nation be able to stand up to threats from other nations if we don't have strong relations with other countries?Or are we so mighty we don't need to pander to anyone? Can a Nation stand alone in the world and survive?

A former Lawton police officer is guilty of stealing money from Lawton Public Schools. That’s the verdict a Comanche County jury reached Wednesday afternoon during the third day of Paul Stoner’s trial.

He’s the first person charged in the LPS security scandal to actually go to trial for turning in false time sheets and getting paid for hours he never worked. But there’s another twist in this case. The prosecutor tells 7NEWS he believes Stoner paved the way for a future, larger scandal. That scandal involved former deputy superintendent Will Anderson, director of security Mark McFarland, and several more former Lawton police officers, as well as Comanche County Sheriff’s Deputies.

The nine-woman and three-man jury only deliberated for 35 minutes before convicting Paul Stoner on two counts of filing false claims against the state. They also recommended the maximum sentence of two years in prison on each count.

It is a paradoxical truth that tax rates are too high, and tax revenues are too low, and the soundest way to raise revenues in the long run is to cut the tax rate now...Cutting taxes now is not to incur a budget deficit, but to achieve the more prosperous expanding economy which can bring a budget surplus.

Both Branches offer a career that I am currently interested in but I can't make that final decision. Like I said don't want to end up in Iraq. Plz give you thoughts!

I have a new friendship with a (Army) soldier that I would love to nurture and see blossom.
I feel that I am strong enough to be a warrior's woman, traditional and old-fashioned.
So...what type of support do you like to hear when your training or deployed?
What keeps it fresh and strong for you?
When he's not working in the field, we have nightly conversations and phone sex, and I always try to incorporate new situations to try when he returns to me...
But what other things can I do for my soldier currently 600 miles away from me?, and then in the fall he'll be deployed (3rd tour) for 15 months...please help and thank you for your time - and of course - your service to God and Country!

Why should inmates have all the luxuries in prison, such as TV, exercise area, etc? Do you think that if prison was harder, it would be more of a deterrant for people to commit crimes? Why should our tax dollars pay for all the "extras?"

I did a college paper that showed Ohio spends an average $67/day per inmate and LESS than $4/day per child for Early Childhood Education. One prison in Ohio spent over $800/day per inmate...come on!! Who of us makes $800/day!
