My landlord refused to give me a rent book or set up a direct debit mandate for rent payments. He returned two cheques I sent him. I sent him a solicitors letter stating that I wished to pay the rent and he would be put in funds when I received a rent book. He didn;t reply and then started possession proceedings to evict me on the grounds of rent arrears. I decided to leave the property as I couldn't be bothered going to court etc. He is now pursuing me through the courts for the rent arrears. Can't afford any legal representation. Can he do this? Could I contest on the grounds of estoppel? HELP!!!!!

A little too obvious, don't you think? So how much do you think she'll collect when he dies of this rare untreatable disease Daddy studies? Why hasn't she caught it from him? Does Dad have secret cure/immunization? How & when did he contract such a rare disease? Why is it so rare? Manmade perhaps? Lab created? Too f*cking much! Or is it just a ruse to draw our attention away from a more sinister occurance elsewhere? Like in WA, D.C.? Idiocracy at it's finest working here folks! Enjoy and keep up the good shopping!

It's great that she has the right to free speech, but it makes me mad to see so many entertainers be so critical of the government. Does she really think she could do better? What do people in other countries think when they hear/see her and the Dixie Chicks saying these things? They probably think we are a bunch of wishy-washy fools who can't get behind our President....in other words, we look weak . What ever happened to United We Stand?

The McCann’s are using their undoubted ability to gain publicity which may help find their dear daughter

They are not "Guilty" just because they are smart successful people, some commentators write like jealous losers . Even
top level people like the McCann’s can have a tragedy as we have just seen

Anyone who hates people who have lost a child in this way is a sad case of envy overriding decent behaviour to this unfortunate couple. Some of the comments made against the McCann’s are libellous and warrant legal action. Internet comment can be traced .

I was on I-85 S about to get onto 15-501, heading to Duke to take a midterm, when a state trooper pulled me over. He said that I was going 92 in a 55 work zone. I think that's impossible because I admit I am guilty of speeding sometimes, but this time I was not in a rush. I had a microeconomics midterm at 11 AM, and I was on the freeway at 10:20, so I wasn't in a rush so I don't know how he clocked me going so fast. On my ticket, he wrote the time as 9 AM when in fact he pulled me over circa 10:30 AM. I know that in NC 15 mph over means automatic license suspension, but CA is not a member of the NRVC. My insurance already costs $2500 a year, and 4 points on my license would double that, AT LEAST.

Any constructive help would be greatly appreciated. Oh, and I failed the econ midterm, so please, no "you deserve that ticket" type comments. Is there any significance to the fact that he wrote the time wrong? I was in bed at 9 AM, NOT going 92 mph on the freeway.

Ft Lewis has decided that we are losing too many soldiers to offer 'individual' memorials for those that are killed in action. They will now offer a 'once a month' service. Well, what kind of crap is that? . PLEASE , if you agree that fast food funerals for soldiers are WRONG, repost this and make the public aware of this travesty.

I have an interview with my investigator this week . Can anyone help me on what type of questions they are going to ask me, to help me prepare myself more for the job. I'm a bit nervous and feel that I'm not so prepared and do not know what she will ask from me, she said it last about 2 hours. i was suppose to go 2 years ago and didn't go on my interview, needed more time now I'm back at square one b4 my test scores expire. I'm taking Nassau's test in August but I need a stepping stone and if NYPD gives me the chance I'll take it. Any advice will be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I thought it was considered age discrimination if you weren't admitted but you were of legal drinking age. Some bars/clubs/taverns here say you have to be anywhere from 23-40 to get in.
