My mother was threatened at work twice and wants a protective order. Both times she called the police and they arrested the guy. The company didn't do/say anything to the guy and the manager said she can not get a restraining order without his permission because they work together. Is this true and is it wrong that the company did not do anything to this employee?

The USA is a corrupt, decadent and morally weak nation. It cannot depend on it's high tech military toys to win any war when it has no HEART.

Americans drive around in easy target vehicles because they are too lazy to walk, they have massive firepower . but again NO HEART.

TIME.... will crush them as they memorialise and whimper over their fallen friends. WAR has no friends , no comrades just a crushing death for all that oppose.

Every day ....more will fall , until they finally realise the look on their own foolish faces is one of total HUMILIATION that they deserve.

The arrogance of the USA is their weakness...they are totally blinded by it , the skull of america will be crushed , only to reveal the empty hole within.

It matters NOT the courage of a pawn when the moves are made by a FOOL. And the USA is a nation of FOOLS

I heard that a group of people started building a wall already and that if the government doesn't help that they will keep building one. I personally have nothing against Mexicans but I think that they shouldn't come here illegally. It makes it harder for schools to try and teach students who don't speak english(but that can be fixed). It is also hard for hospitals to deal with people who don't have health care. Some people say that we should help mexico and then they wouldn't have to come over here. Well it's not America's job to go out and help every country. It's sad. If I could I'd try and help mexico by building better towns for them and safer areas.

Perhaps it's because, there is no oil and it's a poor country.

"The modern individual on the other hand is threatened by many things against which he is helpless: nuclear accidents, carcinogens in food, environmental pollution, war, increasing taxes, invasion of his privacy by large organizations, and nationwide social or economic phenomena that may disrupt his way of life."

"Industrial society seems likely to be entering a period of severe stress, due in part to problems of human behavior and in part to economic and environmental problems."

"Modern industrial civilization, as presently organized, is colliding violently with our planet's ecological system. The ferocity of its assault on the earth is breathtaking, and the horrific consequences are occurring so quickly as to defy our capacity to recognize them, comprehend their global implications, and organize an appropriate and timely response. Isolated pockets of resistance fighters who have experienced this juggernaut at first hand have begun to fight back in inspiring but, in the final analysis, woefully inadequate ways."

why do you have a big problem with people who wear fur but not people who wear leather?

could it be because you find it easier to harass wealthy old ladies than biker gangs?

i'd pay money to see one of you throw paint on the hell's angels leather jackets or the leather saddlebags on their harleys.

My husband has been addicted to vicodin from a back injury which is long gone by now. He has now moved on to oxycontin and I've recently found out that he's injecting it. He has deleted all of our funds, we are financially ruined because of this. I have tried to get him into rehab but he loves doing the drugs and has no intention on stopping. He also is driving without a drivers license, has a warrant out for unpaid court ordered child support and drives under the influence, obviously. I want to leave him but he always takes the vehicle and leaves me alone and I have no family here to help me. I want to get away but he'll never let me leave. If he were making a drug deal and I tipped off an officer where he was while buying drugs to arrest him I could have a chance to leave with him in jail. How long would he be in custody if nobody had the funds to bail him out? Is this wrong of me? I think it might be the only way to save his live..and maybe mine. I'm scared and need help.

I live in India. I had a neo rich billionaires' telenet connection. They disabled my service alleging that I have not made payment in time. I made the payment in time and I have the Bank statement to support my claim. Through wrong means they have manipulated my later bills. I made the payment and requested for a credit note for the excess amount they have charged. They have sent me another manipulated bill, which is incorrect. The company is very clever because they do not put anything in writing fearing that I will go to the consumer court. I request you to guide me whether I can approach a consumer court based on the above deficiency in service. I have only their E-mails in support for their gross inefficiency, unethical business practices and deficiency in service. Disgusted by their services I have ended up their service. Should I pay a manipulated bill? Please advise!

I'm about to be deployed on July 5 for the Navy. I already went to Mepps and everything and chose my job. I had a low asVAB score of 43 so my options were really limited. I chose to become a boatswain mate but on what people tell me. The job is not what I am really looking forward into. The jobs that were offered to be were really limited due to my low score. I wish to retake the asVAB test and to rechoose a job but my recruiter said I can't because IF I score a lower score on the next test, it will affect me. I really want to switch jobs before I get deployed, is it possible?

This is in response to a previous question by another poster. I know all soldiers have their opinions on how the war should be handled. I also know that their opinions may differ.

I have a friend who is finishing his second tour of Iraq. He volunteered for both missions and he has also been to Afghanistan. He truly believes in his mission and has a love for his country that most would envy. How do you feel about that?

Liberals seem to think we shouldn't bother with them. They say the recently captured terrorists were dumb and wouldn't have completed their mission. So please enlighten me, should we just not worry about them? Should we just let them continue to plot to kill us all?
