No, it's not racist unless it actually used the words the news article attributed to it: “If you don’t speak English, go home. If you don’t speak English, you’re not welcome here. If you don’t speak English, get back on the boat and go where you came from,” White cringed as he remembered the words.
But the news article is based on the interpretation of a person who was offended and walked out. If, as the performers say, this was a misquote, then the reporter is trying to whip up a scandal or controversy without having checked the facts.
The lyrics posted at the performers' website are not racist to any but the most politically correct leftist.

How would that be racist? They're saying (I know this is controversial, but really...) that English is the official language here, and that's what people should speak. It even says that we welcome you and support open immigration but just ask that you learn English.
That's far from racist. Races aren't even mentioned. It says the same thing to Germans that move here, right? So, it clearly has nothing to do with race. It's about the controversy over whether there should be a national language or not. So it is controversial, but anyone who calls that racist is a perverse individual.

It isn't racist, it is an opinion that you should conform to the language of the country you go to live in. Mexico has a law that in order to get a job as a foreigner you have to speak fluent Spanish. Is that racist?
I don't mind the language so much but it doesn't hit me at work as it seems to hit some. It isn't racist though. Speaking German would have the same problem according to this song.

There is a huge Hispanic population in Hillsborough county and they are quite weird anyway. The song was not racist. If we invaded 20 millions people to Mexico and demanded that they speak English I would expect they would be a little irritated too.

Its not racist, but may not be tasteful for a government function. I have this to say; I have no problem what he says as lon as there is an exemption for native languages. Oklahoma put into law that its English only, and the native Americans protest it.

No, the song is not racist. Move to France and refuse to speak their language. Watch how you are treated.
They would have the same problem regardless of what language illegals speak.
