I am thinking in terms of someone listing themselves as a doctor, then giving the wrong medical advice.

the answer to your question is no , , because we are only answering your question . how ever i see a danger in some of the answers that are being given out , like medication for an illness , now i think in the conditions of giveing people answers i think it state that not to start giving out information if you do not know what you are talking about , so as i am no doctor , the last thing i would want to be doing is adviseing someone to take a medication of some sorts that i have no idea what it is , the other thing we have here is that i believe you have to choose a person that you think has given , you some kind of answer , that you like , so it is best to read though all the answers carefully , thank you for the question

well, if someone is pretending to be someone or something they aren't and giving advice as if they were what they are pretending to be, then yeah, the individual could be held liable if someone were to follow his/her advice and as a result of that, something bad happened. It's against the law to do it in "the world" so it should be illegal to do it in "cyberspace" as well.
Yahoo could be held liable if complaints are made to yahoo against an individual who is doing something of that nature and yahoo does nothing to stop him/her from continuing to provide false information being perceived as truth and someone gets hurt or dies because of their failure to act, then I believe yahoo could be held liable.
But I'm not a lawyer or anything, cousins, uncles, and brothers are, but not me, so I don't know the answer, only my opinion.

No. Because if you can comprehend this type then you should also comprehend that it is what it is; typed words of someone else's humble opinion. It is here for us to form our opinions of other's beliefs and opinions. And to maybe even get others to see our points on matters we may hold in importance of our existance. We are just trying to understand and be understood and validate our very selves as we fumble through this thing called life. So behold, you are in possession of a most unimaginable mind expanding gift. Free of charge. Use it wisely, it can be very beneficial. To be humble is to be wise.

Personally maybe. Legally I don't think so.
I'm sure there are disclaimers some where in the "users agreement"
