I thought it was considered age discrimination if you weren't admitted but you were of legal drinking age. Some bars/clubs/taverns here say you have to be anywhere from 23-40 to get in.

You have to be at lest 21 to get in, but some tavern owners mayset their own standards above and beyond that. I believe as long as they are consistent in their enforcement of age "banning" or "allowing".. they might be allowed to do it. They have the right to serve or refuse service as they see beneficial to their business .. but it has to be justified and consistent.

Any place of business has the right to decline service to anyone, as long as it not a race or sex restriction. A club or tavern does have the right to place an age requirement, as long as they post this age requirement where it can be viewed by the public. I respect this policy. When I go out for a few drinks, I like a place that is quiet or conducive to conversation, and a younger crowd is more likely to be loud and obnoxious, especially when being served alcohol, and are also, in their inexperience, more likely to overindulge and cause trouble afterwards.

i'm exceedingly effective it truly is a state subject and that i think of that there are some states the place the legal age for ingesting is eighteen. (this is largely a faint reminiscence on the sting of my strategies nevertheless, so do no longer anticipate it.)

It's not discrimination for all the backyard lawyers... it's a private business, he/she can allow whoever he/she wants in, as long as they are of (at least) legal age.

How old are you? Really now, good question? Guess any question has validity in someone's perspective! I would take an educated guess at "YES".
