I would find a way to decrease the deficit. The government is very quick to deny a security clearance to service members if they have an unreasonable credit rating. They say the reason for doing this is so they won't trade the clearance for a large sum of money to pay off the debt. But, the government is already guilty of this by "assisting" countries because we are in debt to them.
I would show other countries how to build an educational system that works with their citizens, limit the number of international students that come in to the US and invest more money on education toward US citizens and legals that can't afford it.
Then, make completing the census mandatory. If the paperwork is not filled out completely, listing all members of the household, you would be fined a hefty penalty.. more than $5k. This would offer some low level protection against the influx of illegals. Just a thought.

We produce 2 trillion a twelve months Iraq and Afghanistan basically expenses a hundred billion a twelve months. No money i "borrowed" to pay for them. yet while conjoined with a 600billion heath care techniques, and different multi-billion $ courses the government spends on- it provides as much as costing 3 trillion. Japan holds .5 trillion South Korea holds .5 trillion china holds a million trillion Thats all i be attentive to of nevertheless.

First, we would have stayed after Bin Laden over in Afghanistan and Pakistan, securing that situation (which has now nearly slipped away). Then, we could have, should have addressed the horrific problems in Darfur; and, since we'd still have the goodwill of most of the world (perhaps the biggest price paid to go into Iraq) we could have made serious advancements toward Middle East peace negotiations. Now, sadly, any hope in that arena has been extended way into the unforeseeable future.

Sorry, all of you are missing the point! We never had the money! It was bowered from the Federal Reserve banking cartel at obscene interest and our off spring will be paying for this illegal undeclared war for many many years. All that could be said is we might be a little closer to a balanced budget and have a lot stronger dollar!

I'm really tired of people claiming education is not funded in this country. We have been throwing money at it for 30 years and where has it gotten us? The kids know less now than they ever did. I would vote for a tax refund, but that's just me.

lobbying to remove all social spending, and pass the savings on to taxpayers. it might seem like a waste to spend billions of dollars for this purpose, but it would pay for itself in the first year.

Woulda shoulda coulda - the most USELESS phrases in the English language. Why aren't you complaining about Clinton's wasting of the so-called 'peace dividend'? There's ANOTHER useless complaint!

Since we don't have it, I wouldn't have spent it. In case you don't know, we've borrowed it from China. The national debt has never been higher, and is currently about $30,000 dollars for every man, woman and child in the U.S.
Puts a new spin on the term "conservative" doesn't it?
