Fifty-four-year-old Robert Wheeland was bound over for trial yesterday after four teenage girls testified during a preliminary hearing before a Muskogee County judge. Much of the testimony was held in the judge’s chamber because of the girls’ ages.

Wheeland is facing three counts each of lewd molestation and second-degree rape and one count each of rape by instrumentation and taking indecent photographs of a minor.

A 16-year-veteran of the Haskell Police Department, Wheeland is accused of using his position as a police officer to seduce his alleged victims.

that's no surprise, there are lots of cops, judges, lawyers out there doing as they dam well please. I know from first hand. The best smoke I ever got was from a highway patrolman and my mouth got me out of a speeding tickeit, if you can read between the lines.
They are just like any other man out there, they just have power and they love to flex it too.

This is actually an old story. This guy was convicted back in March for this. He is going for sentencing in June.

Nothing to do on a Friday night but try to make us all out to be dirty?

Once again we dealt with one of our own when they stepped outside the law. Like any cross section of America there are bad people in this profession too but no LEO covered for this guy. In fact we are sending him to prison.

It's disturbing, but it's not the first time it's happened. A local cop went to prison for having an "affair" with a 14 year old that went on ride-alongs with him.

I hadn't seen that story yet, but it doesn't surprise me. There are a lot of sick people in the world. Police officers, clergy, teachers. There are sicko's everywhere and in every job.

I wonder how they convince themselves what they are doing is okay?
