I was watching this movie called Deja vu. And This guy was called the ATF of this police investigation and I have no idea what that means. Can someone give me the answer.

It is the federal agency called Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. It is called the ATF. They are a very specialized federal law enforcement branch and they work crimes related to laws governing alcohol, tobacco and firearms. They also have branched into arson investigations and bombs.

ATF stands for Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and explosives. The Explosives part was added later, so it's still just ATF.
