Would you discover something known as EMPATHY then?

We have to admit it, people, we are the product of a racist country that aspires to be multicultural and diverse. We enslaved African Americans, denied citizenship rights to certain nationalities (quotas affecting mostly eastern europe and asia). We are xenophobic and don't just need to reform our historically racist immigration policy, but our attitudes towards others. An illegal is no more criminal than you trailer park trash that probably have a DUI or get caught shoplifting.

Point is, if the HORRIBLE TERRIBLE TRAGIC "illegal" immigrants were from Germany or some other similar nation, another Cock ROOSTER would Croak.

I was arrested for a .11 BAC breathlyzer DUI in Orange County,CA including Misdemeanor w/ Bodily Injurty. my first arrest. I am being represented next week by a public defender I have not met. What is the general outcome working with these guys... good or awful? Not much cash to hire a criminal attorney. Is this a huge mistake and risk I am taking with the Public defender? Also, any idea as to what the DA will offer a case like mine? Lastly, can anyone please tell me a worst case scenario conviction vs. a real sentencing that the accused (me) got some breaks? Total fines $$$$? Any chance of a restricted licence? Thank you for your feedback... it is really appreciated.

Would most Americans unite under a New Deal-like plan like that under FDR, but for the new century? Or is America and Americans so different today that uniting the country in that way wouldn't be possible? Would you support something like this, or would it be widely dismissed as socialist movement?

For many years now, the use of capital punishment has become precariously rare, especially in the so called democratic nations.

Criminals and their advocates have successfully abolished the death penalty in several European nations. Thankfully, in the USA we have preserved this vital crime fighting tool, but many other Western nations have not been as fortunate.

What can we do to help the civilized nations reclaim capital punishment and enhance it's use and implementation?

She hasn't paid her rent in a while. I saw the repairman recently who asked me if I'd seen her, and I told him the truth, that I used to see her but haven't lately. But afterwards, when I went downstairs to the laundry room, I saw her TV on through her drawn blinds. The repairman was looking for her but she has been avoiding him and the landlord, and I feel guilty that I haven't told them anything, but she's always been nice to me and I know I will feel guilty if I do tell them.
Should I keep my mouth shut, or should I say something?

If a person's antibodies could cure all disease, would the government have the right to forcibly extract samples of that person's blood in order to help medicine and other people?

Imagine a person who is discovered to be immune to all forms Cancer, TB, Viruses, Bacteria etc. You could say he has a super immune system. He went through life unnoticed and became his own person. He is very anti-social. He would never willingly give information or other things to any organization. But this person is real. The government knows that by getting his blood they would be able to cure all people of disease. Would the government be able to force this person to submit his blood or body to research?

Well if the answer is yes then it is time to get down to the border and protect your back yard from the illegals crossing over.
Your childs future depends on it.

When they just say it to feel better. because that actually makes the soldier feel worse, for them is like then what the hell are we doing here. because whe cant just leave the situation revert to what it was or worse. because then all those soldiers would have died for nothing.

If we must beef up our troops and weapons in Iraq, can we fight fire with fire and start making our own improvised bombs out of Iranians and strapping them to different militant and terrorist targets in Iraq? In this way, we could wipe out two "Axis of Evil" targets as Pres. Bush would say, for the price of one!

Why are they so class envious? Doesn't this just prove that they are a "give me, I'm entitled to" people? I see answers on here all the time that suggest because someone is rich that they must have lied or cheated to get there. (unless it's a rich lib... then they get the free pass on EVERYTHING... keep buying them carbon off-sets Al) The top 5% wage earners in this country pay over 50% of the tax bill. You know what else they do? They supply YOU with a job... provided your working and not just leeching. But no... tax them more because they were smarter than you... or worked harder than you... or their parents worked harder than your parents...

Do you give 50% of your excess money to the government?
And don't tell me you don't have excess cash? Everyone buys stuff they don't need.

And Finally... what gives you the right to demand one pays more of the tax load than another.... I seem to remember something about "equality" in this country?
