Bo Dean,
So...when a guy straps 20 pounds of comp-B to his shirt, goes to a school and blows himself up and 20-30 innocent children...he's defending his homeland?

AC>It's easier to program all these logistics from miles away and bomb innocents and call it - Islamic extremism. The US has it down to an sick science. Look to the ones who can do the deed.

Sadly, that is their value system. Our forefathers who left England originally to escape this treatment are rolling in their graves. Our constitution has been harmed so dreadfully I can't bear to think about it. Our civil liberties no longer mean anything. If you really want to go in your pants read up on Total Information Awareness. That is Bush's illegal and immoral spying system used on every citizen in America and even world wide.

If you want to see real conservative values look at Ron Paul's record. If you equate torture and kidnapping to a conservative policy, you need to append a neo to the word conservative. Its these Neoconservative view that the ends justify the mean, the constitution and checks and balances be damned. If we were defending our homeland I would support this war, however by invading and occupying Muslim nations we are creating hostility toward the US around the world, thus making us more enemies and much more unsafe. The only border we should occupy and patrol is our Mexican and Canadian border.

look man, I see you're a true Liberal and that's cool because liberalism has some really cool values tied into humanity and peace and understanding but liberalism is just not working right now, its too ideal, too pure when the world is just not ready. I see what you're saying, i really do but that's not the reality of the situation. terrorism exists, our reaction to it is probably pretty ******, but its real. Its been going on from the time i was a child watching the news with my parents. Its a controversial step we took going to war and its so screwed up right now, not by the soldiers, but by our money grubbing governement. they have us all dancing liek marionettes. And its all a real shame, i feel we could have done better in Iraq. Our minds are just so scrambled by this administration. Conservatives don't want to torture anyone more than you and i do, we all just want safety, comfort and I guess as long as that's working for us, we'll stay pretty quiet. Take some comfort away...we might actually all get up.

It is a conservative value to have others "kidnap and torture people who are defending their homeland".

Conservatives are far too busy being brave in their living rooms to actually attend the wars and war crimes they support.

But they'll buy a bumper sticker....and those can cost a couple of bucks.

No, it's the conservative value to keep bringing 9/11 up in a situation not even concerning it so that we'll turn a blind-eye to the torture.

I do understand what you are saying though: claiming to protect and save people yet torturing them all in the same breath. Don't you just love the smell of hypocrisy in the morning?

You mean terrorists and insurgents? "Defending their homeland" ? They are there to disrupt law and order. They kidnap, they torture, they kill..........even their own people.

If by torturing one insurgent or terrorist, I could prevent a disaster and save many lives, I'd tear them limb from limb, and never lose a nights sleep over it.

You have a gross view of what is a "home defender" and what is a murdering terrorist.

If you are asking a Conservative this, just remember they think that a terrorist and an insurgent are the same thing.

thanks to "cj" for making my point so quickly.

AAAAHHHH.....9/11...9/11...9/11...9/11....9/11...9/11....9/11...9/11 oh did I forget to mention 9/11 a day without 9/11 is like a day without sunshine in administrationland.

yes it is a conservative value. They believe they should have the right to do this to our own people in prisons as well. They think torture is going to deter crime and 'reform' the prisoner.
