Our rights are freedoms guaranteed by the constitution. Our responsibilities are the mature things we do to exercise these rights. For example, voting is a "right". It is also our responsibility. Having a child is a right. Taking care of that child is a responsibility.

a right is something you're entitled to such as life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

re·spon·si·bil·i·ty (rĭ-spŏn'sə-bĭl'ĭ-tē) Pronunciation Key
n. pl. re·spon·si·bil·i·ties

1. The state, quality, or fact of being responsible.
2. Something for which one is responsible; a duty, obligation, or burden.

Basically a right gives you the freedom to act one way, but responsibility ensures you act the "right" way.

A right is what you have. A responsibility is what the other guy has.

Also...

A responsibility is the qualification that ensures your right isn't one.

For example, the press has the right to publish whatever they want, so long as they observe their responsibility not to do so.

A right indicates you can do something without legal ramifications. For example, you have a right to free speach. It doesn't mean you should excercise that right without consideration of your audience.

Responsibility indicates that you have an obligation and/or accountability towards something. For example, you have a responsibility to protect your child.

I agree with the other poster - A right is something you can do, something you have a law-given right to do.
A responsibility is something you should do or not do - something right or wrong, usually.
