Nancy Pelosi said she is going to accept the gavel on behalf of the children. I agree with that statement, but wouldn't that upset her fellow Democrats in the House, calling them children?

took out a 70k HELOC 1.5 years ago, adding my 1st i owe 205,000. My intrest rate on my 1st is "ARM' 10% and 2nd 12%. These are killing my payments. I went to try to refinance my credit is 670, but they are telling me my property is valued at 185. if i would come up with 20k they tell me i could save a huge chunk of money. My home was actually appraised at 220 when i took out the HELOC 1.5 years ago. They used a computer to figure it out not a actual appraiser. After doing some reasearch homes sold for 184,000 at that time. I live in a townhome communtiy. i have both of these loans with countywide financial and they will not help me at all, after i paid for an appraisal, came in at 184k. Again i talked to an appriser and he told me it should of never appraised at 220. countywide pushed this HELOC to paydown debts so it would make refiancing my first easy.

Here's some background info: I will be getting my conceal / carry permit soon and want to get a hand gun to occasionally carry. I'm not concerned about having the nicest, biggest, best gun, just something that works and is cheap. Only real answers please - I'm not debating the need or rights for hand guns or to carry them, just looking for some suggestions on inexpensive hand guns. Thanks

do you think the importance of curbing illegal immigration will get back to being a top priority. Do you think that we will truly do something EFFECTIVE at stemming the tide of ALL illegals from all nations and countries or will it be buried?? One more thing, do you honestly agree the a fence should be erected at the entire expanse of the southern US, if not, what in your opinion can we do to truly stem the flooding of illegals into this country and what can we do to the millions of illegals already in this country. Can we deport them, and two parts here, would congress ok it, and second, would it really have that detrimental of an effect on the US economy, or would Americans step in to do those jobs

Unless they want the day off to attend the funeral or be in mourning, why should ALL federal employees get a paid day off at taxpayer expense for Gerald Ford's funeral? Is this a "floater" day off that they already have built-in or is it an extra one that taxpayers just pay for.
Don't want to get flamed by federal workers OK? An explanation of the perk is in order though.

Why is the fact that the earth is getting warmer assume to be a bad thing?

I understand certain parts of the world it would be bad especially where it is hot already.

But on the flip side of the coin growing crops in the tundra of Canada or Alaska would that be so bad seems like 6 of 1 and half a dozen of the other.

I have heard this on TV, from Gov Richardson in regard to the illegal getting sanctuary in a church from being deported. What kind of parent would go to Mexico or El Salvador and leave their child (ren) behind? Wouldn't the child be better off as an orphan if their parents didn't care anymore about them than to leave them behind in the US? Or, is Richardson's statement just trying to create a false emotional scenario to play Americans for fools?

english contract law the doctrine of consideration.
it has been said that a promise is legally enforcable once consideration has been provided. Is this description to simplistic a discription of the principle of consideration.
