Yes, they have come a long way, but there is still a long road ahead for black people to go. If you look at it in terms from the fact that they started with absolutely nothing, to be where they are today, they have far surpassed all other races in strength and endurance; and have accomplished way more than anyone else. But, sadly the world is not an equal place not only among the different races but genders as well. But the fact that there are black people in the government, and becoming leaders is a positive sign and a good way to close the gap just a little bit more. Me personally, I don't think that the leaders in our country should be looked at as black, white, hispanic, asian, or whatever the "race" may be, but whether or not they are a good capable leader. And hopefully, one day everyone will feel this way.

It shows both I think. However, we cannot change the way other Americans think about us. A lot of them have there stereotypes of us as a whole.

I feel as though many of us have lost sight of the vision so many have died and struggled for. But if we (meaning all people) can live our lives for God, that is what truly matters.

How far have we come to pleasing God should be the question. Not culture or race. God was the one who made everyone who they are. It was God who woke you up, not your alarm, spouse, child, pet, etc.

God's grace is sufficient. We have to be willing to work for Him in order to succeed in His way.

I voted for Healey, Deval is a socialist, and MA has too much of that already.

He's a very rich man, why doesn't he share some of his money instead of offering ours?
