I danced with a woman at my office Xmas party and she is now accusing me of sexual assault! There was no physical contact, presumably she just felt I "invaded her personal space" or felt the manner of my dancing was too suggestive - goodness knows! Admittedly, when apologising immediately afterwards I did also make the mistake of saying she "looked sexier than usual".
I don't yet know what she has claimed happened. I am not actually employed by the same company as she is, since I am self-employed. However, her employer (my main client) is initiating an investigation.
Any advice on how I can defend myself without getting too public (I am married with a family and they are unaware of this) ?

Should all of the land mass south of the Rio Grande be sparsely populated, with only the elderly and elite living off the receipts sent back home? The entire Latin American block of countries need to move into the 21st century and quit relying on the US to take their problems.

And how about these dual citizens? Will they vote for the best interests of America or their homeland? Could I be given voting rights in Mexico to even out the impact here? Of course that's not only to happen.

Hi folks,
Iv'e just heard about someone being charged with a £40 penalty in a hospital car-park
What is going on ?
The NHS, I was lead to beleive, is a state thing, paid for by my & yours 9% income tax. Another one !
When visiting my Dad, I shoved the two quid in the machine, but was informed later that it went 10 minutes over the printed time, so therefore liable to a £20 penalty
Daft!
I did not pay it. And received no further threats from the car-park people engaged by the local Health Trust.
A few moons ago, my freind dropped me off at A&E, after a motorbike accident.
I got fine treatment, and thanks to the pro. folks there, all is well, but he had a ticket within minutes for £10, for saving the health service the cost of an ambulance vehicle & crew.
Where is the sense in that episode ?

I fail to understand.
Any suggestions?

Bob.

Is the Bush administration profiting from oil companies?

Is Nancy Pelosi profiting from her support of abortion rights?

First, I'm interested in any actual evidence.

Second, if there is none, is it true that we just say these things without thinking just to slam our political enemies?

Have you heard the audio clip of Nancy Palosi at the political rally yesterday as she screamed to the crowd "I am now the most powerful woman in this country!"

How does that make you feel?

I had a question about openly gay people serving in the military.

Would the same logic allowing this also compel co-ed barracks? It's a serious question, related to (but not the same as) one I asked earlier.

Seems to me the excuse of "unit cohesion" in the case of racial segregation was easy to overcome. Society decided, quite rightly, that the only "disruption" that would occur if the military were integrated would be to bigots. I'd say the military is one of society's more integrated institutions.

But it seems to me the possible "disruption" here would be the possibility of being in close quarters with someone who is POTENTIALLY sexually interested in you. There's a lot of merit in saying that people should be adults and control themselves - but doesn't that apply to co-ed as well? We don't think heterosexuals are perverts who can't keep their minds off sex, do we?

Again, we don't segregate races (and shouldn't) but we do sexes. Is there an inconsistency there?

My husband overstayed his visitor visa his order of deportation is 10 years. Before he was deported I filed an I-130 to have the country recognize our marriage. He was married previously to an american and she claimed (even though they had a son together) that the marriage was fake so they denied my I-130 for that reason now I can't file another I-130 for 5 years. The lawyer told us that after 5 years because of our circustances we could get the order of deportation over turned. Together we have 4 kids he has one from previous and I have two from previous and we have one together. the two I have from previous he supported. he supported me I haven't worked since Oct 2004 we were married in mid 2005. I'm working on moving over there to egypt but before I go I really need to know that I have to wait. I need to know that there is nothing else I can do. The appel for the decision on the I-130 is already past we can no longer appel. HELP!

I saw little Cindy disrupt the democrats news conference, then when they left she takes over the event and presents her "demands" for the government. I used to just feel sorry for this delusional woman, but now feel she is totally out of her mind. Who does she think she is to "demand" anything. Please Cindy, your 15 minutes of fame are up. Please crawl back under the rock you came from.

Wasn't Saddam hung for violating human rights. Weren't these people who spread the video exercising their rights. Why are they being mistreated for exposing the way he was executed. They are just doing what they felt was right, showing how the US government sticks its nose in other countries business and creates more ill will among the citizens of the world. The way the execution was conducted was disrespectful, and that is something the people of the world needed to see. Even the worst person in the world deserves some respect especially when faced with death.

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized."

I'm no liberal, but I thoroughly believe in civil liberties. The U.S. government can now open mail without a warrant in addition to wiretapping. They say this is only under extraordinary circumstances; does anyone believe that?

I took my car to a neighborhood mechanic to look at it for me. Well, without my permission he took it to a professional mechanic. He authorized the professional mechanic to take a look at my car. I asked the neighborhood mechanic to bring my car back to me because I was going to take it to my regular mechanic and now I can't find the neighboorhood mechanic anywere. The professional mechanic is telling me that he will not give me my car back and that someone has to pay him for the work and storage on my car. I never authorized this mechanic to do anything to my car and the police said it is a civil matter and that he can't keep me from getting my car. But, the towing people don't want to get involved and take the car off his lot. I have no idea what to do! Can anyone help?

OK, 9/11 truth movement peeps. Riddle me this:

Heat kinks---is a railroad term for the tracks deforming due to summer heat.

http://www.vre.org/service/commuterweekly/archives/sunkinks.htm

http://www.depotnews.com/CSX/020801CSXa.htm

http://whyfiles.org/069renew_energy/1.html

The tracks can shift from mere inches to feet.

So, if the SUN can "kink" steel and deform it. Why is it so hard to fathom a 700-1000 Deg F fire could not kink and cause structural failure to the buildings of the WTC??

Today at the market the lady in front of me bought a case of Slim-Fast and a case of Dasani water, she "paid" with food stamps.

Is anyone other than me bothered by this?

What can be done about this kind of abuse of our tax dollars?

Why can't the"poor" just get a couple of bags of rice and beans to survive on?

How has the food stamp program contributed to the problem of obesity in this country?

And now I hear that the activists want the "poor" to get a food stamp ATM type card so that no one would know who was using food stamps. Then they won't even have to drive the junker car to the store, they can take the Mercedes.
