Wasn't Saddam hung for violating human rights. Weren't these people who spread the video exercising their rights. Why are they being mistreated for exposing the way he was executed. They are just doing what they felt was right, showing how the US government sticks its nose in other countries business and creates more ill will among the citizens of the world. The way the execution was conducted was disrespectful, and that is something the people of the world needed to see. Even the worst person in the world deserves some respect especially when faced with death.

We (USA) control the government in Iraq. If you don't realize it then please consult other news network don't rely on CNN and Fox for your information.

The Iraqi government was going to film or photograph the execution, or some part of it, and air it later. The guys who used their cellphones beat them to it.
These men were supposed to be working as guards. It was unprofessional of them to spend that time taking pictures. Cellphones had been banned from the execution site.
I don't know exactly what law the men are being arrested under. Perhaps none. Saddam's rapid-quick appeal and hasty execution was a rush job by a desperate government trying to hold onto power. The way it happened, with guards taunting Saddam and chanting Muqtada's name, is an embarassment to the new Iraqi government. (Note that the official government video had no sound!) These men are probably being arrested simply because their acts exposed the true sentiment of the members of the new government.
Saddam was a Sunni, the new government is heavily Shiite. The Shiites are giddy with power now, and are desperate to wipe out Sunni resistance. They worked hard to secure the Sunni leader's death.
Saddam was no humanitarian, but neither will this government be. All other things being equal, Saddam kept Iraq from falling into anarchy, like it is today, with the struggling government holed up in a small city center while warring factions kill each other in the outer neighborhoods and suburbs.
None of the news stories I can find mention any actual crimes or charges against the arrested men. It looks very much like an act of silencing.

For the very same reason our military men who took pictures of American abuseing prisoners were reprimanded, makes us look bad.
Saddam was under US protection every day of trial, the first judge was appointed by US before Iraq had a "reconized elected and UN recognized government" which is illegal under UN Rules for an occupying power, so we installed a judge who had been under training by US lawyers in military and state to replace him for final judgement.
Saddam was executed at an American military base after AMERICAN MILITARY GUARDS turned over to Shias, religious and followers of Sadr and then watched the lynchers do the dirty deeds.
A deliberate ploy to instigate more violence between the Sunni and Shias but photos showing how brutal and demeaning its happening only proves how much a kangaroo court it was to rest of world.
It is the policy of stopping any thing that makes US look bad, especially if it is true and could be verified , so that US public opinion can be messaged and manipulated.
It is nice we punish those who capture our atrocitys on film that way our embeded reporters will know just how in bed they realy are and not try to be other than just that, "OR ELSE"!
The questions now being asked by world of why we turned him over to Shais and killed him on beginnig of Sunni holiday and did it all against islamic laws of hoidays is happening and gaining strength by those photos so we arrest the guys who actally were doing nothing illegal under law, so we can spin happening without anyone being able to question the photographers.
How unpatriotic of them.
For those of you who show distataste for the masked hoodlums, what would Saddam of looked like if our soldiers at Iraqui, Cuban, Afghanaistan and other Khan countrys had done it.
Would Saddam of had a pointed plastic bag on head, electrodes attached to his privates, made to masturbate while being hung, led by a female soldier smoking a cigarete and smiling as she smeared her menstral blood upon him, and then made to climb or crawl over the twelve steps of naked arabs before he got hanged of been much better?
Remember the REAL HANGMAN wears a maks to hide his "TRUE IDENTITY'!

That is the business of the Iraq government, and the Iraq people. I didn't know anyone had been arrested for taping the hanging but if they were they are probably Iraq citzens being arrested under Iraq laws.

I believe America doesn't televise executions. I also believe the general feeling towards videotaped executions is a disrespectful one.

I don't know why they were arrested. It was the Iraqis that are doing it. The US had nothing to do with the execution. If they did it disrespectfully, that's their business, not ours.
