Should the Federal Government, which owns the oil on all Federal Land, such as ANWR, on the behalf of the American People...sell that oil directly on the commodities market by-passing the big oil companies and deposit the revenue into the Treasury. Then use that money to finance education, alternative envergy sources, and cutting taxes without increasing the deficit. This will increase supply of oil on the market and cause a price drop at the pump, which means an economic jump. Reduce our dependancy on OPEC. An if we use the resources to jump to Hygrogen power instead of Carbon in the long run everyone wins...conservative, liberals, corporate, and environmentalists.

I like Joe Biden and John Edwards. Don't know enough about Obama to say whether he'd be good. I think Hillary would be too divisive.

then why are there so many Canadians coming to border states and cities like Detroit, Buffalo, and Cleveland to get health care, yet there are no Americans flocking to Canada for their health care?

Note I am referring to people who are willing to pay out of their pockets for treatment.

This guy shot to police officers during a traffic stop. Oh yeah, he was departed three times and has a long rap sheet to include drug offenses and assualt with a deadly weapon.

When is the left going to wake up and realize that alot of bad people are coming across our boarder not to mention MS-13 and other violent gangs? We need to secure our country or will lose it.

I feel sorry for anybody who has lost family members because of war; it is a tragedy beyond imagine. But protesting war in a peaceful country does not make sense to me.

In the democracies of the world people have had the freedom to go about their lives for years. You don't have to worry about your government telling you where to walk, how to talk, which religion you have to belong to. But many countries throughout time do not believe in or allow such expression. Just imagine if Mrs. Sheehan lived in Iran, or North Korea and protested the governments there as she has done in the US. She would probably be in prison or dead for doing so; maybe even her whole family if she lived in North Korea.

The US tried to remove itself from worldly involvement prior to WWII. Look what happened. Japan dropped bombs. Then again in 2001 the US was attacked. So protesters, why don't you start protesting where it would do some good, with those that give us a reason to have a military?

Did short skirts and rock and roll music and MTV inspire people to fly planes into the WTC and Pentagon? Was it our "freedom" that they hate so much or is there anything else the United States has done that might upset people.

I'm not choosing sides and don't dare call me a terrorist sympathizer. I hate bin Laden as much as anyone does and NOTHING justifies what they did on 9/11.

I just want to see how many people have actually given this serious, independent thought.

Lets examine U.S. middle east policies and our actions there in the last 50 years and see what could be upsetting some people over there. Can we do that without resorting to stupidity?
