you can ONLY get paid for a dependent if you are MARRIED to them or you are a single parent...they just dont give that money out to people who are boyfriend/girlfriend...thats a waste of money...now if its a parent who is living with you and you are financially responsible for them, then you can get BAH...

dont try to screw over your command or branch of service...if they find out that you have been receiving that money and you are NOT entitled to it, you better plan on paying every single penny of it back and having a nice sit down with your commands officer in charge

The bottom line is that youre not going to get BAH for a girlfriend.

You either Marry Her, or have a child with her.

When you marry her you automatically rate BAH with Depn's

When you have a child you get BAH Diff, which varies by rank(roughly 200 dollars). BUT you can request to move receive Full BAH if you maintian a household with the child in it. Full BAH depends on Zip code and pay grade.

You have to be married to receive BAH for your GF, in some units single soldiers can receive BAH if they move out of the barracks...

Marry her.

But seriously, the military only recognizes legal family members - children or spouses. This entitles you to priveleges. Some places allow single service members to receive BAH if there are no barracks regardless of having family members.
