maybe petitioning egypt and other countries to release terrorists that were already serving life sentences, and giving bin ladin weapons and funding in order to trap the soviet union into a vietnam style conflict with afghanistan in order to cripple the soviet economy was a bad idea on the cia's part...

This hatred from many Muslims started way back in the pre -Jesus days....They can't help it....It is a story that has to be carried out.
It has everything to do with how some interpret the Koran....It is my understanding that the Koran says to kill all the imbeciles (that is anyone who is not muslim and does not believe and follow the Koran)...Where as the Holy Bible says to forgive and let God pass judgement...So it appears that they have an advantage....but in the end, God will bring justice for those of us that have followed His word. Aside from that....have you not seen what the world has to go on?...All they see is the garbage on the internet, television, they know nothing of the lives of ordinary God loving americans....just the trash they see.

This has been brewing for centuries although it really heated up in 73ish. It's a throwback to the religious crusades having been revived in the 70s by fundamentalist radical Islamics. It's the literal translation of the ideologies of the Q'uran (sp).
"Islamic fundamentalism is a religious ideology which advocates literalistic interpretations of the sacred texts of Islam, Sharia law, and an Islamic State. [1] It is often regarded as the older, less preferred term for Islamism. [1] [2]"

It's what they are taught by their government and religious figures. It's a tactic used to keep the people from focusing on the real culprits to their problems. The dictator's and the religious clergy that rule them.

Terrorists hate us becuase we are not Muslim. Their bible, the Koran, indicates you are to kill all people who are not muslim. It's that simple. Seriously. These people have mindsets from the dark ages and technology from the 21st century to execute their holy vengeance. Their motivation is to go to heaven and screw 72 virgins. I AM NOT KIDDING.

Perhaps they believe the Americans to be invading their country?
Terrorism is existential, it will never be ceased. The cycle will continue even if America pulls its military from Iraq.
The problems lie with Americas lack of sovereignty.

You've heard how Blair is refered to as "Bush's poodle"? In the middle east, the US is considered to be Israel's poodle. Our support for them is viewed to be unconditional.
