I think it is wrong. American soldiers are dying for Iraq, not our country. It's so sad....

I was for the war going in. We went in and kicked @ss; we invaded Iraq, obliterated their 900,000 man Army, captured their leader, took over the country, and established a new government w/ its own fighting force; WE ALREADY WON THE WAR. But now we're getting involved in an Iraqi Civil War; a war we dont belong in.

We did our job, the Iraqis have more men, firepower, and fighting skills than the Insurgents; if the odds against them were great Id say we should stay but they arent. Its our time to declare our victory, and leave. We can continue to fund the Iraqi Army w/ money/weapons but its time for our soldeirs to leave.

The war was never a good idea. The loss of life is sad. I have been wondering with the religious belief they have maybe wee could help them be martyrs, give them all the things they need to get to heaven. We must realize that the Iraq population is for the most part good but to end the struggle they all must sacrifice. It is only a start and I know we will soon run out of funding. Our soldiers broke they say and now we have to look at government. The people in Washington are not going to fight.

You have a right to your opinion, but I wanna bring up something...

Have you thought about what Saddam Hussein did to his own countrymen? This guy is a madman!
He killed thousands of Kurds because they followed a different sect of Islam. He led an assassination attempt on Bush's father. He's threatened to bomb the US before. He even brutally tortured his soccer team whenever they lost a game!

About that second woman's answer.... just because we did not find WMDs does not mean they were never there. The US troops found several telltale signs of WMDS when they came to Iraq. Also, there is a reason why Hussein resisted UN attempts to search for WMDs.

My teacher's boyfriend was a ex-Marine who served in Iraq. When he came to school last year to talk to us about the military, he told us about how the Iraq army would lay down their weapons and surrender to US troops without firing a single shot. One group of Iraq soldiers reported that they would not fight for a man who would not even feed them. These soldiers hadn't eaten for four days.
I don't mean to downplay the sacrifices our fallen soldiers made for our country, but, in comparision to the Persian Gulf War, the Vietnam War, WWI, WWII and other wars, the Iraq war had fewer casualities and cost much less.

We still have some more work to do in Iraq, like training her soldiers and keeping the central government strong, but I believe the Iraqs are making progress. And regardless of people's opinions on the war, it would be irresponsible to COMPLETELY pull out of Iraq and not finish what we started.

*edit* I_hate_liberals has a good answer too.

Dear Animalsarenotthings - the Soldiers are not dying for Iraq, they are killed in the line of duty on behalf of the American people. Its a shame the media has spun this war so that very few people understand we are fighting terrorists in Iraq so we don't have to fight them in _____fill in your city name here_____, USA. We have been getting Americans killed by terrorists since 1979 at a time and place of thier choosing - but now we finally took the fight to them. You may not like war, but war was already being waged against you (and all of us).

How do I feel about the war...hmmm...the war on terror is a worthwhile cause last time I checked. Iraq is just one battlefront in this war. Did we do our jobs...yes. Is it time to move out...yes. It is my personal belief that we are wasting manpower fighting it the way we are. If it were me...if I were the president I mean...I would have an aircraft/spacecraft created that was designed to bomb any target on earth from orbit. You could nuke anyone you wanted to from the comfort and safety of space. If it were upto me, nuke the whole region and start over. Nuke ever country that ever remotely considered the possiblity of harming US citizens. Quit wasting time, American lives, and taxpayer's money.

You don't understand Zionism. You're government is operating on behalf of Israel and the Zionist cause. Until you realize that, nothing will make much sense to you. The goal was to trick Americans and the West into blindly hating Muslims across the board. What better way to do that than pull and inside job and blame it on Muslims even though there is zero evidence to support blaming them. You silly Americans swallowed it. We played you like a fiddle. And we still are. Bush has been a great help to my people and our cause.

I am truly against the war. I think the war was started over false pretenses (the w.m.d that do not even exist). I do however support our troops.

Everyone just needs to smoke a J and chill out, seriously.
There REALLY is no need for war.
Be adults, sit down and talk about it instead of killing thousands+++++ innocent people.
