Why the he// do people say "Happy Holidays"? It's Christmas, not Happy Holidays! What's next, the calendar has under December 25 "Happy Holiday(s)"? And calling a Christmas Tree the "Holiday Tree"? I don't put up the tree up on any holiday except Christmas. Oh sorry, I meant Happy Holiderrrrr...

Happy thanksgiving.

I'm so annoyed now and any advice or help is appreciated...

I'm a NY driver and was driving to Vegas from Laughlin, NV. The cop pulled me over and said I was doing 101 on a 65...I knew that I was speeding but unsure how fast. I was just stupid, plain.

On the summon it classifies as G - must show up in court for reckless driving.
Well....I live in NY, 2500 miles away. My 'court date' is Jan 05, 2007. I called up the court and there is always an answer machine,
here is my question:

- Do I have to come to NV again for the court?

- How about if I hire an attorney, can he represent me to court?

Any other options?

I wrote someone I thought was a friend a credit card check for $5,000.00. A few days later they pop up and say the check was destroyed in the laundry, and they need me to write another check. I don't write them another check, and I automatically call the credit card company and cancel the check, just to be on the safe side. Then a few days, my "friend" says the found the check and it wasn't washed. Now they are all pissed off that I cancelled the check, saying that it's a felony to cancel a check over $1,000.00. Are they telling the truth or just full of it?

after getting pulled over, the cop told me i was speeding. i asked to see the radar reading since i was stopping for a red light prior to even seeing the cop, so it seemed unlikely to me that i was speeding. the cop showed me the radar reading but then wrote up the ticket for a faster speed than the radar had stated in order to hassle me further.

will this hold up in court? can the officer write up a faster speed after showing me the radar and telling me that i was going X speed? seems like he's taking advantage of his power. any advice on the situation would be helpful. thanks

He found out after arriving to bootcamp that he'll miss the birth of our first child. He wants desperately to come home and approach his life differently.
