Why the he// do people say "Happy Holidays"? It's Christmas, not Happy Holidays! What's next, the calendar has under December 25 "Happy Holiday(s)"? And calling a Christmas Tree the "Holiday Tree"? I don't put up the tree up on any holiday except Christmas. Oh sorry, I meant Happy Holiderrrrr...

WTF?!

To people I will see between Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day I say Merry Christmas. To people I won't see that week in between the two I say Happy Holidays to include both. Not a political thing, just a personal thing.

they are trying to be pc and take Christ out of christmas. If you don't believe in it then don't accept it. If you really want to make a difference then don't shop at stores which say Happy Holidays no matter how great the savings. If these stores who continue to say Happy Holidays get hit in the pocket book enough I think the will eventually change to Merry Christmas to please us who don't like Happy Holidays. Retailers don't like to loose money. They will eventually get the message that most americans don't approve!!!

Well...long before it was PC, Happy holidays just encompassed all the holidays from Thanksgiving through New years. if you didn't know if someone was Christian or jewish Happy Holidays covered it all. Now a Holiday tree is just going way too far!

I think that before Thanksgiving it is OK to say happy holidays BUT after Thanksgiving it's Merry Christmas to me.
Then after Christmas then you say happy New Year.

Too many people are afraid of offending those who don't celebrate Christmas. It is called political correctness and is going to be the eventual death of America.

Actually X-Mas is a lot older and Political Correctness.... It dates back to using X to replace the word Christ, a custom that dates back to the middle ages and the use of the greek language.
