Nice pants and top.
Would have worn dress/skirt but there was too much snow.
It's really a cool thing - (Army graduation).
I can even pick hubby out of the pictures of them in formation - cause he's the only one turned facing me!

If you're going to Parris Island, SC, expect it to be humid and warm. A cotton dress or pants suit is appropriate.
At San Diego, CA, it will be warm and windy. If you have a hairdo thing going on, a hat pinned in place is smart.
You will be seated in bleachers, much like the ones at school. The new Marines will parade onto the parade field, and will listen to several speeches from senior Marines and politicians.
Outstanding Marines will be awarded recognitions. The entire graduating class will perform several marching maneuvers.
At the end, the commanding officer will dismiss the class and they will be free to go. You'll have to check in with the security guard before leaving the base.
Your Marine will have gained weight - mostly muscle. His neck size will be larger than when he left you. His bearing will be more focused - in other words, the boy will have grown up. It's a startling view, but you'll enjoy it.
Remember, he's been in boot camp for 13 weeks with a squad bay full of other men. He'll want to party. Your job is t keep him sane. He has 30 days to report to the new base.
Congratulations on being engaged to America's finest.

Actually, they advise the women not to wear a dress or heels because guests will be sitting in bleachers (like high school football style bleachers). Also, you'll be doing a lot of walking, so they advise people to be really comfortable. Remember, your marine is graduating, not you. They'll just be happy you were there to share the moment. If wearing a nice pair of jeans is still too casual for you, then I'd stick to dress slacks and low heeled shoes, like loafers.

Wear a nice pant outfit....if he's in San Diego it's starting to get a little chilly esp because MCRD is right by the water...Not much organize events during family day in San Diego....Last time I went for my friend we attended a church service and the CO's talked about how they were great recruits and that was it....then we walked around base, watched some of the younger siblings try the obstacle course, walked through the MCRD Museum, waited a while for a lane to bowl, and that was it....he'll be happy just seeing a face that's not yelling at him.

For the graduation I would wear a dress that is conservative but still a little sexy. One that fits well and accentuates the positive. For family day I would wear something casual but fun and comfy.
And Congratulations!! May you have a long blessed life together.

I would wear a blue, long sparkly dress too a marines graduation. A family day I would wear jean caprees, a long sleeve shirt with a shirt on top that says i'm just sayin, and a pair of kitten heels.

Aww... it's gonna be in san diego or parris island so it should be fairly warm... wear a pretty sundress or a skirt and blouse... bring a cardigan in case it gets chilly. He hasn't seen you in a while so you want him to look good, but no matter what being proud of him and being there will be what matters most to him. If you ever wanna talk, i'm a Marine wife... so just email me from the link in my profile. Semper fi!!!

i would wear something dressy, yet conservative, like what you might wear to an office job, or to church,,,, nothing too revealing, too flashy,, but not jeans etc,,, a nice simple dress or blouse with a skirt/pants with a jacket are always two good choices, and appropriate almost anywhere you go,,,,, i personally always choose a dress if in doubt
