Double the sentence? reliable idea! yet why only for armed robbery? Why no longer for each crime the position the criminal makes use of a weapon? the purely "con" i will imagine of is filling up the prisons, which lets negate by letting non violent offenders out on parole or probation! As to the "experts": Dang, i will't enable this answer get too lengthy! the most important will be, the convict does no longer be victimizing different regulation abiding electorate even as in penal complex! As a regulation abiding gun proprietor, I even haven't any use for the criminal aspect, i'd pick to work out your idea develop into regulation, with an better 10 years (or triple sentence, whichever is longer) if the weapon used is a gun!
