Rather than have a legitimate debate about whether we should continue to allow people to break our laws, they pull out the race card. It seems cowardly and weak.

Why do you think they are not basing their entire campaign on a strong national defense?

You would think if they want to be elected that they would be in the news constantly on the key issue of the election, but instead all they can talk about is phone sex.

This behavior does not make me feel comfortable that they can lead in these dangerous times. How about you?

China's goal is to capture Taiwan. And will do so by force if there's no capitulation.China COULD crush North Korea if it was in their best interests.George Bush undertook bold actions by expressing U.S. support for the defense of Taiwan following the stand-off in March 2001 with the People's Republic of China over the crash of a Chinese air force jet and the detention of U.S. personnel. (remember?)
So, again I must ask is North Korea REALLY a puppet of CHINA??? note from wikipedia:

In an ongoing dispute, the People's Republic of China attempts to claim sovereignty over Taiwan and some nearby islands, which have been controlled by the Republic of China (ROC) since 1945. The PRC asserts the Republic of China to be an illegitimate and supplanted state and administratively categorizes Taiwan as a province of the PRC. The ROC does not recognize these claims, administering itself as a sovereign country with a democratically elected government and presidency.....stay tuned

.....and all in between: Do you think that it is because of our dis-like for one another that we allow ourselves to become blind and do things out of hate instead of for the well being of everybody?

What i mean is, many people vote for the person in their party even though they do not think that person is the best qualified. They think that just because that person is in that party, that person thinks the way they do.
Don't you think Republicans do things just to tick off Democrats and vice-versa?

President spoke today about N Korea, but he pretty much talked for over an hour just blabbing and telling reporters how good they looked if you were watching or hearing his speech. Is this worth interrupting your show for? If it's important of course, but today I didn't feel it was.

I am a student worker assisting in a mock election to be held at my campus. We want to help students locate their voting district by using the internet. I am looking for a site that allows you to type in your residence and will connect you to information regarding your specific district(i.e. which district, where is the location for voting in that district, etc.).

While going through the various news sources I read daily I found about 14 different articles on terrorist activity around the world including Europe.

I am surprised that there is nothing about these on the network news in the US. Why?

Has the media forgotten that there are people out there killing innocent people and would be doing it here if they could?

Considering 911, you would think the network news would be all over these incidences of terrorist activity.

I saw these kids passionately speeking out against the 'Hitler' mentality of those who want to control immigration saying that those people are not welcome in New York. Is it just me or does this sound like a 'Hitler' mentality. If you don't agree with us your not welcome. Grow up kids !!!!

Apparently now it's no longer, "An Army of One", but "Army Strong". Troops are not expected to combat "terror" in Afghanistan, but "fear and chaos". And testing standards have been lowered -- to some success -- in getting more aspiring soldiers signed up.

Anyway....will this help the shortfall seen in recruiting goals since 2001? And does anyone think the draft is inevitable, if we continue our current operations in Afghanistan, Iraq, the Mexican border, and now possibly North Korea and/or Iran?

There is law in my city that will allow me to call the cops on my neighbors for their barking dog. If they get called twice they will get a $100 ticket and if 3 times in two years they get charged with a misdemeanor. Do I approach them first or call.
Reason no to approach is if they don’t fix it they know or suspect who called and I have observed these neighbors they are petty and something may happen. But is it not the right and neighborly thing to do to approach them first.

Reconstruction
Army Cancels Contract for Iraqi Prison
By JAMES GLANZ
BAGHDAD, Iraq, June 19 — The Army Corps of Engineers said Monday that it had canceled a $99.1 million contract with Parsons, one of the largest companies working in Iraq, to build a prison north of Baghdad after the firm fell more than two years behind schedule, threatened to go millions of dollars over budget and essentially abandoned the construction site.

The move is another harsh rebuke for Parsons, only weeks after the corps canceled more than $300 million of the company's contracts to build and refurbish hospitals and clinics across Iraq. A federal oversight office had found that some of the clinics were little more than empty shells and that only 20 of 150 called for in the contract would be completed without new financing.
