Absolutely! No religion should try to ban another religion. Too many confuse this with the acceptable existence of cults that present a religious facade. Cults are not religions and should be treated differently under the law.

Moreso. As we move away from a mostly Christian culture to a number of religions and a growing body of non-religious people, we must keep the protections in place lest secularists force religious people out of the public forum.

Certainly. Consider:

There are countries today that require part of your income to support a certain Official church (whether or not you are a member).

In one country, a girls' school caught fire. Due to religous Law, the girls could not leave the building unless they were completely and properly dressed. Most of the girls died.

There are countries today that put you in jail for admitting to believe in God (any God).

None of those countries is the US, because we have the First Amendment. The State and the Church must stay seperate. Period, full stop.

The constitution is more important today than it has ever been.... Because we are using our constitution to destroy our country and it's founding beliefs. If our founding fathers could see us today they would slap us in the face and spit on our shoes.
We should be ashamed.

to democrats it is. To Republicans, No Way!..If your not Christian your a terrorist. They want to be able to pray in school but don't want other religions (or non-religions)equal time. If they tell you different, they lie. They want a religious state run by the"bible". My suggestion to them is quit your day jobs and go fight in Iraq
