It is a very honest and point blank statement.. what is the question?
Seems odd to see those posting, who continue to be misled when they think the terrorists only want us out of the middle east. These terrorist attacks have been going on world wide for more than 30 years.. some people may eventually wake up to the reality of what is actually taking place. The only difference in this new generation is; we now have a president that is taking the fight to them before they do the same thing in this country, they are doing in others. They have already tried here...and succeeded. But they would like to do much more.

Doesn't Bush use religion to accomplish his goals?
As far what's wrong with Americans... Americans are sleeping very deeply... but not all Americans. Those Americans that are awake need to make as much noise as possible to wake the others before things get worse

What is wrong with that. Many wars have been fought in "the name of religion" Surely most religions preach peace and to kill is wrong. The fundamentalists pick and choose what parts of their religion they wish to follow and take it out of context. Can't they get it through their heads that the world does not belong to Islam and not everyone in the world wants to belong to the Islam faith.

1. Islam is a peaceful religion, it's the culture in those countries that start this violence, so Bush is wrong as usual. They may claim it's for religion, but that's the same as Christians being rascist in the name of Jesus Christ.
2. What a hypocritical statement. I can't think of a president in my lifetime who has tried to push so much Christian belief on the US public. Not saying it's a bad or good thing, just showing the hypocrisy.

What about the 'party religion' being used by people like the President now with an eye on the forthcoming elections?

His statement is true, always has been. Zealots in every religion interpret their "holy writings" much differently then intended...

and some people use government conspiracy to accomplish theirs... what is missed in these statements is WHAT GOALS are we talking about here? Terrorists don't want to take over the world, they just want the US to get the hell out of the middle east... and we won't because our interests are TOO GREAT because we rely on FOSSIL FUELS every day. it really sucks.
