While going through the various news sources I read daily I found about 14 different articles on terrorist activity around the world including Europe.

I am surprised that there is nothing about these on the network news in the US. Why?

Has the media forgotten that there are people out there killing innocent people and would be doing it here if they could?

Considering 911, you would think the network news would be all over these incidences of terrorist activity.

The reason they're not on network news in the states is sadly enough..Americans don't care. News startions must broadcast news that appeals to the majority of the viewers because news stations are a business. In fact when you study journalism in college one thing they'll tell you is a newspaper is an advertising journal with news thrown in here and there.

If news stations broadcast news they don't think Americans will care about then they won't have many sponsors advertising on those stations and can't pay the bills. However you can just type in www.bbc.com and poof get news from Europe but be careful what news source you get your info from for example you can't expect a news station run by Hugo Chavez to be fair to the US or a news source funded by Hezzbollah to be up front and honest with all the facts concerning US and Israel relations. I mean an Egyptian news channel presented a documentary on the much disproven "Protocols of the Elders of Zion" as fact when it's obviously false.

Until it happens here again news channels in the US will continue to show the latest car chase in LA county or what have you.

What do you think will get more viewers in small town America? A school shooting in Pennsylvania or a Terrorist group blowing up a post office in Tajikistan?

Piracy on the intense seas is already a sort of terrorism with out them being linked to different communities like Al Queda. Given the lawless and close to anarchic project there, one does no longer be shocked if it grew to alter into some style of terrorist fort.

north American stations don't report the news like Europeans and south Americans do. its very much more censored especially since networks now more conservative owned. and they store it up for political use.
there has always been and always will be terrorism and terrorists. and some of them are the same type of people that did the Boston tea party ... look that up and understand to why those types don't get reported as "terrorists"

Bush and his family and friends own the media. Showing the true state of the world would be detrimental to his popularity. He knows he's responsible, so he can't allow this violence to be shown.
