When you think about politically correct speech, that is nothing more than an effort to take away your first amendment rights.

One could say the same about the anti-religion movement, they seek to quiet believers from speaking their minds.

You have to question the motives of anyone who would try to take or limit your first amendment rights, what rights will they take away next.

Further to DaveJ's question, Is Jack Straw right? I notice that the U.S Forces in Iraq and elsewhere, wear sunglasses when talking to someone. I remember that in N.Ireland the wearing of Sunglasses, whilst on patrol was forbidden.

When the Presidency and the House are finally returned to the Americans who are truly patriotic, truly interested in our world image, truly willing to help the needy and leave other governments alone, what will you do?

I for one will down a glass of champagne, thumb my nose at all the conservatives crying into their Budweisers and laugh all the way to "I told you so" town.

"Our race is the Master Race. We are divine gods on this planet. We are as different from the inferior races as they are from insects. In fact, compared to our race, other races are beasts and animals, cattle at best. Other races are considered as human excrement. Our destiny is to rule over the inferior races. Our earthly kingdom will be ruled by our leader with a rod of iron. The masses will lick our feet and serve us as our slaves."

Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin http://100777.com/node/603

"every time we do something you tell me Americans will do this and will do that. I want to tell you something very clear, don't worry about American pressure on Israel, we, the Jewish people control America, and the Americans know it."
Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon http://www.fpp.co.uk/online/01/10/Sharon3.html

"We believe with absolute certitude that now, with the White House and Senate in our hands along with the Pentagon and the New York Times, the lives (of Arabs) do not count as much as our own. Their blood does not count as much as our blood. We believe with absolute certitude that now, when we have AIPAC (the Israeli lobby) and (Edgar) Bronfman and the Anti-Defamation League, we truly have the right to tell 400,000 people that in eight hours they must flee from their homes. And that we have the right to rain bombs on their villages and towns and populated areas. That we have the right to kill without any guilt."
- Israeli journalist Ari Shavit, reprinted from Ha'aretz in the New York Times, May 27, 1996.

What if the various warring factions that make up the population in Iraq are prepared to continue their cival war forever? Is America prepared to stay in their country to assist the government (it set up) forever? Is the cost in lives and money worth the risk that someday maybe there will be stability? What if the current "exit strategy" doesn't "finish the job"? Are we going to stay to protect our oil interests? What if the people in that country don't want our form of government?

I visited a Endocrinology and Metabolism MD. I really went to him because my primary (first time visit) physician referred me to him to check my diabetes. My main reason for visiting either of them was to get pregnant. They both knew this. I had been trying for 5 years. Anyway, I received a notice from Blue Cross Blue Shield the other day. There were several test charged, I have no idea what or why these test were done. The charges are over $300 that I owe this testing company. I owe the doctor's office about $60. I have never had a bill this high from anybody. I went to the gynecologist and never had a bill over $30. .
I know one thing, that doctor looked at my ankles that day and said that they looked swollen. Then he stated that he was going to check something. He used some kind of electrical device and shocked my ankles. My question is, HOW do I dispute these charges or request for the tests done by the doctor?????? I am pregnant and have bills coming soon for Gyne visits.

I am starting a non-profit organisation and I would like to call it a 'guild', but I don't know if this word has legal implications like the way the words 'limited company' do. I think that guilds had to have royal charters in the middle ages. Are there any laws still on the books about guilds? Can anybody use this word to describe their organisation?

Our Unions used to be about insuring the working men and women of our country can take comfort in knowing that their human rights are safe in a workplace that often tries to get one over on us. It seems now many of our Unions are just as bad as the corporate thugs we were originally protected from. Any insight or thoughts?

Do I have any say so if I take my medication to work or not. Plus the fact would you want someone give you medication durning a seizure. In most cases you can't swallow it. It seems to me that Yahoo has a problem with freedom of speech and thoughts. Esp Language. What gets me is that I posted two political questions (one concerning the recent school shootings that I posted yesterday) I asked. In my responces I had a number of right wing nuts that insulted me, knowing NOTHING about these subjects, quoting from FoxNews, and always pointing to their bloody shaky fingers to the left (Democrats), muslims, commies, and of course, us Canadians. Then I added more details, in where I quoted The Good Doctor (Hunter S Thompson) and I called them 'ratbastards' and pigf-ckers (I left the bad bad word out this time, ok sensetive folk... You probably never heard this language before and got scared... Cause, u know, after all, f-ck is just a word and really can't hurt you...).

I believe in what George Carlin once said- a word is just a word and can't hurt you. It all depend in the content and context in which you use the certain word.
