What if the various warring factions that make up the population in Iraq are prepared to continue their cival war forever? Is America prepared to stay in their country to assist the government (it set up) forever? Is the cost in lives and money worth the risk that someday maybe there will be stability? What if the current "exit strategy" doesn't "finish the job"? Are we going to stay to protect our oil interests? What if the people in that country don't want our form of government?

You ask many questions let me try to answer them all.
What if there is no end to the war in Iraq? There is no end. Trust me. In war there is no substitute for victory. What began as a war to find WMD, then became a war of liberation has finally become a war against terror. But the terror was not there before the invasion. So which war are you asking about. Bush would have been well advised to remember Margaret Thatcher's words: "Fear is no basis for foreign policy". (1978).

Yes the factions in Iraq are prepared to continue as long as there is an American military presence, and a puppet government.

No, America is not prepared to stay forever to assist the Government it "set up".

No the cost of lives and money is not worth the risk- there will be no stability until the "liberators" go.

What if the exit strategy does not work? There is no "exit" strategy, other than saving face. It is not possible to define the "job" never mind finish the job.

Are we going to stay to protect our oil interests?
There should not be any oil interests if you believe what is said by Bush et al.

What if the people of Iraq don't want our form of government? They dont thats for sure. ................And neither do I.

I believe it was an American historian who wisely said War is the unfolding of miscalculations. Never was this more true of Iraq.

I think you need to look at this from a broader perspective than just the "war in Iraq". This is an endless war that has been going on, sometimes hot sometimes cold, pretty much since the first Greek and Persian looked at one another. Iraq and the "War on Terror" are symptoms of the never ending conflict between Eastern and Western Civilization for world dominance. I don't want to argue too strongly that GW Bush sees this but he does understand that this is a generation long conflict and that the way to defeat Eastern Civilization is to convert it to Western attitudes. Perhaps the best example of that is the way we destroyed and rebuilt Japan after WWII. Of course, back then we didn't have the Politically Correct crowd telling us this was bad and it worked out for Japan and us.

you should read 1984 by George Orwell. One of the conditions that's necessary to control the population is a perpetual war. I'm not saying that's what's going to happen, it's just interesting...
