Amen, brother!

The media hypes up the liberal agenda, but they forget that real voters, real citizens are still setting the direction of this country.

We're here, we're conservative, get used to it!

If abortion can be upheld on "constitutional" grounds, gay marriage certainly can be. Remember, more than 80% of Americans find abortion morally wrong, but it's still upheld, because the court found a right to privacy in the constitution (based on a very loose interpretation of the document).

Therefore, gay marriage should not be such a hard thing to uphold, if argued on equal protection gorunds, which is even more copnstitutionally sound than the basis for abortion. So it doesn't really matter if most people are against it; sooner or later recognition of gay marriage will be the law of the land.

enable me start up by skill of conserving I voted NO on Prop 8. I easily have heard a lot of human beings conserving that the structure obviously states that marriage is between a guy and a woman. Or that the structure has no longer some thing to do with it and that marriage became defined by skill of God as being between a guy and a woman. properly before each little thing, issues replace. only because the structure says one component does no longer mean it might want to't get replaced. we've come alongside way in replacing our structure. at the same time as is became first written, African individuals or perhaps woman did no longer have a suitable to vote. Now look the position we are at present. there are a range of human beings which have self belief that a woman shouldn't in any respect be President because being President has continually been a mans pastime. If it truly is authentic then we could continually recommend a proposition that could want to not in any respect enable a woman change into President. would this ever happen? of direction no longer. in reality i look ahead to the day that a woman will change into President. Now as for God defining marriage as being between a guy and a woman. properly what in case you do not have self belief in God? Or your no longer non secular? Does this recommend you could't get married. Hell no. Why do not we recommend a proposition to restrict faith. Why would this not in any respect bypass? because each man or woman is entitled to the right of religion. To have self belief and characteristic your own beliefs. yet apparently its alright to disclaim gay human beings that proper. I recommend once you extremely destroy it down all marriage is is a ceramony with a paper license. in spite of the indisputable fact that it should be better than that or it does no longer be the variety of large deal. you recognize what i imagine it comes right down to? close minded human beings. human beings no longer prepared to settle for replace. Its those very human beings that inject hate and controversy into our society.

In a country where more people vote for American Idol than the President of the United States, the voter turnout is only likely to attract the people who really want to vote and participate in the process. A natural consequence of that is that ideologues and single-issue passionate voters vote. If they were to do a legitimate non-biased survey of the public at large, there would likely be lots of people in favor of gay marriage, the right to sexual privacy and ::gasp:: pro choice causes.

The bigger question is, what difference does it make? Why should gay marriage be in the public arena. The "issue" of guy marriage is just a hot button issue that politicians use to avoid real issues.

It does seem odd, that they can't get that law passed in California. I don't much care if gay's want to get married. I say let them *shrugging*, but quite obviously that is a minority view.

What difference does it make to anyone who someone marries? I think banning gay marriage is against everything America stands for. I am not gay so not only gays are for gay marriage.
