I'm a 12 year old and I'd love to scream at my dad for smoking in the house so much, he shows no symptoms of asthma, yet I do.

I don't know if I truly have asthma, just a few symptoms. My airway is a tad tighter and I have sudden, out-of-nowhere coughing fits, my doctor said I have bronchitis/mild asthma and that it'll go away in days with the asthma pump, which I never use in fear of having it worse.

I don't know if it's gotten worse.

Can someone tell me if mild/moderate astmha is reversible? I don't want just a 'yes' or 'no', give me an article or something, I've searched everywhere, yet some sites/books say it is reversible, and some say it isn't.

In November of 2006 I had purchased 2 baby turtles; a Mississippi map turtle and a yellow bellied slider, and i Have them in the same tank together.. The map turtle is getting bigger, but the slider is staying small and doesnt like to swim much, and hasnt been eating. It just sits on the basking platform. It seems like it is sneezing and has to open its mouth to breath alot. But the map turtle seems to be doing great, loves to eat and swim.... it can even eat small crickets now. What might be wrong with the yellow bellied slider, and why doesnt it seem to have affected the other turtle at all??? please help!

This is a serious question and no one's been able to give me an honest and direct answer.

Okay forget the diseases issues. I've read all about that. I separated my two different desert tortoises for 9 months and now they've been together for over 6 years and theyre both healthier and stronger than they ever were before and if there was some danger of intermixing disease it would have slowly showed up by now somehow.

Is there anything in history that shows they can interbreed? I'm assuming they're not of age yet and need to get about 8-16 years old in order to mate and lay eggs.

Can any two different species of tortoises interbreed at all?

I've had five firebelly toads in the same roomy tank for about 3 months so far. They've been fine until I looked in the tank and their were only 4 in there. I didnt take any dead ones out and there is no way my cat could get to them. Is it possible that one ate the other?

I recently bought a jungle carpet and i can't get it to eat. It is about 2 feet long and has eaten in the past. it will strike at a mouse, then pull away as if it is scared. I keep the tank warm enough day and night and he has already adjusted to his new home (I have had about 15 boas and pythons). when i try feeding him, i put him in a seperate container and he will stay in there for hours without killing or eating the mouse. Advice from snake experts please!!

It has been nearly a month and a half since the last time my snake ate. He shed recently so thats not the issue. He was also transfered to a larger cage because he last one was to small, (could a cage being to small effect a snakes eating patterns?). He is not showing any signs of deterioration in health. Other then the fact that he won't eat he is healthy, he is active. What do I do, it is hard to find a vet that deals with reptiles im my area.

i recently brought 2 yellow belly turtles and iv noticed what i believe to be a mating dance, the larger 1 of teh 2 (being around twice the size) shakes its hands either side of the others head. is this a mating dance? and if so, should i expect eggs? and what do they look like? what conditions do i need for hatching to be sucessful? i have no idea how old they are as the pet shop didnt no, they are still only around 2-3 inches long though. they are on a diet of pellets, fish and the odd bit of fruit. any comments and answers are muchly appreciated. thanks

From my name no one would be surprised that my real life nickname is Turtle. My husband gave it to me, and now my mother-in-law gave us a ten gallon aquarium that once had salt-water-fish in it. We'd like to make it habitable for a turtle, but aren't sure what to do with it to help in that goal. We also aren't sure where to get a turtle, or what kind of turtle to look for. Any help? We went to Half-Priced Books to look for books on Turtles and taking care of them similar to a how-to book for snakes and aquariums but had no luck. Any books, websites and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. (Note: We'd really like to use this aquarium for this since it has a stand that came with it but if it's not suitable, we need to know to make other plans for the aquarium or remove it and save up for the proper materials to place it in the same area (which is in a window but it's got blinds so sun directly on it, isn't an issue).
